Which Number was the Complaint Reporting Guide question? I need need to know the question just the number. Some one please IM me the number. I am working on a protest to get the 4 Ops Orders and the Complaint Reporting Guide question thrown out as they were not on the NOE and the NOE did not contain a catch all. Past NOE's did but this one did not.
This is not a scam or a military or sabath test taker. I am trying to get everyone additional points and also stick it to these BS test writers on our job who think they can mess with people's careers.

59, 61 and merely giving you question numbers would not help you anyway.
Thank you. DCAS violated Civil Service law by not giving notice of all material being tested. So I am working on protesting all questions that were not on the NOE.
haha r you joking??????? a lawsuit....ok yeah....why dont you add the question that is supposed to be on EVERY test and wasnt for past two. Fight it....im not saying not to...but stop with fantasy land of lawsuits. How that lawsuit go in 2011 again??
I don't believe a law suit would help, but this is a bit different than 2011, no?
What was the main grievance with 2011? If i remember correctly the NOE did have a blurb about judgment questions..
One of the many problems with the job is people like to complain about things and take no action. People complain about unfair testing, yet they do nothing. 2011 exam the NOE listed everything and had a catch all phrase so you had to argue the validity of the question and couldn't argue that the question wasn't testable because it wasn't listed.
As to the required questions that must be on the exam. You definitely took the Key and had George Mifsud as an instructor who always stated these questions are mandated to be on the exams. That however, is absolutely not true.
I have spoke to Labor Relations regarding the NOE and they stated that the Ops Orders and Complaint Reporting Guide Questions are a direct violation of Civil Service law. The problem is you have to protest each seperate question to have standing in court. Which I have mailed in my protest for each question. Then DCAS plays games and give you notice of the review board decisons within 3-5 days of when the 30 days you have to file the lawsuit to prevent people from drawing up the papers and filing the lawsuit. But, I am preparing the papers in anticipation that they will not voluntarily throw the questions out and will file on the same day that I receive the final decison.
I have also contacted the LBA to inform them of this civil service violation, in hopes that they will be able to get their LBA representative who they send to the review board to get these thrown out without having to file a lawsuit. The law suit is a last ditch effort to help everyone who could use the few extra points to pass.
Otherwise, we will be going through all this nonsense again in a few years when they give another crazy exam. I don't know about you guys but I don't want to give another 4-8 months studying for a bull**** exam.

I have been saying the same thing for quite some time. Maybe next time they can write a question on how to properly set the landing gear on a 767 Boeing. If it is not in the NOE you should not be able to question it.
Does anyone know how many pages the patrol guide is? 6,000? If you can't find 100 valid questions to pull from 6,000 pages...something is wrong! I understand a question or two about the Penal Law and Legal Bureau Bulletins because it is so applicable to what (actual) cops do on a daily basis (that is a direct dig at all of you in a paper-shuffling-desk-gig). There is no reason to be reaching far into other material when there is a 6,000 page book to reference!
nypd2136, I commend you. A lot of people like to complain but wont do anything about it. This job needs bosses like you who are willing to fight for whats right. I dont understand the defeatist attitude of many of these folk on here.
Not a defeatist attitude.....first these things cost alot of money. All bc an atty said you have a case? 2011 was told the same thing at 500 a sgt! I state again...how did that turn out?? It's all about the facts....the facts tell you if the board doesn't throw it out...and I believe they should but won't be thrown out....then the odds say it won't be successful. For guys who need those pts desperately...you can throw your money at a gamble from some lawyer....I don't need those pts so I guess that's the difference in attitude
Anyone else find this SGT2BE character extremely pompous/arrogant and obnoxious?!? The fact that people like that make it to high-ranks is what ruins this job
No sir....I am real...I state it as it is...this is not a team sport...I want everyone I know to pass. I studied for myself and only myself. If you think anyone on here who passed will join you in spending 500 to thousand dollars on a lawyer who will tell you what you want to hear but no where near when your case is dismissed...then I have a bridge to sell you. Anyone who knows me on the job knows that I went to the protest when I was in 80's but I tell you how I see things...if that's arrogance then so be it.
Wisecop....I actually dissgree...it's ok for ppl to differ in opinion...I think ops orders will stick and a lawsuit is ridiculous. Some will disagree w me...nothing wrong w it. Some on here attacks opinions that may not be in agreement. Then it becomes a circus. You guys have a better shot at focusing on hard facts disputing their questions....not a lawsuit that will IMHO will get thrown out just like 2011.

I totally agree that a difference if opinion is ok, but as far as attacks on those opinions go, I really only see you doing that. Most of the time I agree with you. I find you to be very helpful and insightful, but look at your post a few lines up where u pretty much laugh at and ridicule the lawsuit suggestion.
sgt2be. you sir---have a very small penis and it shows. this job defines you, and thats sad
God Damn it man, I just wrote something something to Sgt2be that might actually make sense to him, and u go and start the name calling...Lol...ur a funny dude

Yes it defines me...I will always be a cop...obviously you are obsessed w the penis remarks. Oh well I guess you can just start another f******* post about being alil b!tch and leaving. Now to address the lawsuit...go ahead...I wish you nothing but the best of luck..won't stop a list from being created and won't stop promotions. The book from 2011 was never listed...can someone pls answer how that lawsuit went???????!!!! Crickets crickets

The book wasn't listed , but judgement questions were. Little bit different. Ops orders are not listed at all on this NOE . I'm still of the opinion that a lawsuit will probably not be successful but there is a much better shot this time around. I'm not even protesting the ops orders because I got a few of them correct, but I'm just trying to be objective about it.
There are points to be had....with hard evidence. Ops orders have a chance to go to. But if you truly believe a civil service atty will not tell you what you want to hear then you are as dumb as they come. Lawyers will tell you what you want....happens everytime. There are 99 names left....once that list is done this list will get promoted. The noe states MAY ask questions first of all. ..second of all...the ops orders may be thrown out by the board...third of all..anyone who thinks the field is level against dcas hasn't been around long enough.
Yes lawyers Bull**** you and yes the courts show deference to DCAS. However, I believe there has been cases where the courts ruled against DCAS ...It just comes down to how much effort and money you want to put in to a lawsuit that is probably a longshot.

He's actually a good dude, once you get to know him
