Serious Question that's not Exam Related

Here's the scenario and for all you cheaters out there it wont assist you (BTW - yes, if you have the answers to a test before you take it, the rest of the world calls it cheating).  I'm just trying to enlist the aid of my well studied colleagues.  I'm not saying it applies to me or anything but, if I'm a Sergeant and I'm unfit for duty, does that mean I have to remain where I am and immediately complete a fitness for duty report or whatever you call it on myself?  OR does another patrol supervisor have to come over here and do that instead?  What if I reside out of the 5 boroughs? Do I call the desk at the 50/105 and say, 'Hey I'm unfit for duty!  Get a Patrol supervisor out here quick to make me stay here.  The PG is vague on this one.  Your thoughtful responses are appreciated.
