well i finally was able to talk w my buddy in the know tonight, now please dont jump on me just from what hes seen from the outcomes of this test in the past. he has already heard as have the others about the complete abomanation of this exam. they knew this would happen when they took the pre-test exam weeks ago. however, he does feel that their will be some "double answers" as well as some throw outs(he said thats usually about 3-4 max from priors). the job simply CANT not promote Lts with this list coming to an end. it is actually very expensive for the job to run an exam, he believes they will make a list of at LEAST 500 from what hes seen in the past & for the call of manpower. and hes pretty firm on that belief. he did say whoever did pass that exam is more than qualified to be a Lt, he even admitted he failed it as did almost every other Lt except a couple who sat in the room with him that day to take the pre-test. with that being said he said there is now way there will be the amount of doubles & throw outs of the 2011 exam. they made a point to back up material this go around, and Capt Insano has booklets to counter. honestly, whatever he s told me has been true in the past so i do believe him when he tells me no doubt they ll find a way to make a list of at least 500.
If there's not gone be many throw outs or double answers, They would have to "curve" this exam to make a list of 500. !!! The overwhelming consensus is that Far too many ppl will come in way below a passing grade on this f***** exam. And by the way, to touch on your friends point , there are plenty of guys who did NOT PASS that exam who are more than qualified to be a lieutenant!!!! I guess the job doesn't really care
no he agreed that probably 90 % of the Lt s now couldnt pass that test. totally agreed that his exam the 2006 exam was right down middle and fair. yes i agree with you, as i am right on the brink of pass/fail. this capt doesnt want anyone to get promoted.
The job doesn't want qualified "cops" to rise through the ranks anymore. They want robots. Robots who know every obscure procedure in that book they call the patrol guide. I remember Chief Hall addressing my Bmoc class stating he was at a heavy job with Chief Espo and they both had to look at the PG to know how to handle the job!
The "robot" when asked to provide the Patrol Guide answer, will not be able to handle the heavy job anyway even if he knows the procedure. He will have to call a captain anyway who will have to call a Chief.
I would really love to know who this "buddy in OMAP" is that you keep talking about. OMAP has nothing to do with promotions or exams so I don't know where you're getting this info.

I don't know who your "boy" is but I was on that review panel that reviewed this exam a few weeks ago and was the only Lt that was there (there were 6 of us including me and 1 Capt) who actually spoke up and argued with that ******* Capt about his questions not being correct. There was no "ammo" provided by this Capt so I don't know where you are getting your info from. I can't blame the Lt's who wrote this exam because from my understanding and talking with them it was all this prick Captain's questions. I've written exams for this job in the past and I called this from the moment I saw these questions. I was sick to my stomach knowing this was going to be the outcome and all my friends paid their hard earned money and time to study for this disaster. And there were not 10000 questions written. Having been through this process 3 times before I am probably the most experienced person on this job when it comes to writing these promotional exams. All these conspiracy theories hold no water and most, if not all of you, have no idea how the whole process works.
Ondeeair this is a constant issue with you. You give info that may or may not be correct. Then you say "you're leaving". Just post stuff like anyone else but stop getting on a pulpit. Enough with the nonsense.

I laughed uncontrollably when I read this because it is so true.
Ondeeair provides tons of information and somehow it ends up being true enough times to back up his credibility. But seriously, enough with the "I'm done with this site", if you have information to pass along, do so. People "not in the know" appreciate it.
Class action for all us who took the test in ridge wood with the nonstop Spanish hip hop blasting out on the street.....what a joke....tell people the conditions we take a test in their minds will be blown....it's so ghetto.

Lmao it was just so ridiculous. During the in basket it was at least 5 mins of old school club music. No wonder I got so many wrong. FML and as for that ponytail a$$hole, he would have the duty on midnights in Qs. Heard he would terrorize d/o's etc... The guy has absolutely no life. Just a tool and probably got beat up in Highschool.
The reggaeton coupled with the dog barking made for ideal testing conditions. I bet it was the ponytail captain blasting the music from his Department car with his own dog in the backseat. Vindictive bastard. ;)
