This is how it went

1- Sat down ready to take on what i was expecting to be a straight forward but challenging exam.

2- I start flipping through the inbasket-  It took about 40 Minutes to figure out what the hell is going on.  I then proceeded to tackle the first question, which took about 30 minutes.

3-  I then think to myself, Fuk---this is not good and skip to question 24 (skip in basket)

4- I get up to question 50 with no relief insight...50 and 51 were disgusting questions.

5- Now I start getting this disgusting feeling that the entire test might be like the dreaded 10% left field givebacks that we expect them to throw at us.

6- I tread lightly and make it to 120 and can honestly say that between 24 and 120  I was confident with about 20 questions.

7- With 2 and a half hours left I start the in basket take up every last minute to complete the exam.

I step out of the room and make eye contact with some poor bastard who looks like he was a victim of a Criminal Sex Act 1.  First thing out of his mouth was "Im getting jammed up tonight".

I then make my way to the staircase and make eye contact with another poor schmuck who said that he gave up a girlfriend of 5 years, his conditions spot, and 7 months of his life to something he didn't have to study for.

This rank is getting more undesirable as i fail my second exam in a row.  This is it for me.  Ill take my 55 into the sunset.

i was elated when dcas supervisor informed us that there is going to be x amount of questions. I skipped in-basket started with question 24. the following questions were ok. I said to myself "you got this!" And then disaster. Another one. And so on. By the time i reached question 50 my brain turned into a mush.

For the first question, the forms they referred to I don't think Elite included in they elite guide. It's almost like they specifically put questions on test to make these classes look bad.

Spent 20 mins or more on first question, got too frustrated and skipped to regular test. Finished that then barely had it in me to go back and do the in basket

I felt exactly the same way SATCOM.  I doubt you'll find anybody who will disagree with you even if they managed to get north of 80.  By the way, if you did, my hat is off to you.  Judging from Gamblor's early tally at least.  Relative to most of us you killed it.  You really must have have known your stuff.

Anyway, I took the sgts test in '05 (I least think it was '05 maybe it was early '06).  That was a fair test.  I didn't knock it out of the park by any means but my score reflected my effort.  I think I got 74.  You either knew something or you didn't.  They had a few obscure questions (they all do).  Also, I'd estimate about 10-15 questions were the Fast-Trackesque  zingers.  Very tricky.  I was cool with that too.  People who knew them deserved to get those points and lead the pack.

After that test, on this very forum, you had people complaining about this or that question.  Normal stuff.  There was one guy who was crying 'no fair' and he was shut down.  Nobody was lighting torches and sharpening pitchforks like they are for this.   I didn't take the '11 test.  Nonetheless, I felt what the job did to those who took it was a complete outrage.  Given that debacle, how do you come back and serve up this test?

I got a 67 on Gamblor's list.  I studied about 10x harder for this than I did the sgts: 8 months, hours on end, you guys know the drill.  I'll say this test was an unmitigated cluster whether my real score is worse or I am magically transported to the top 10-percent of the list.  Either way, I'm done.  the job finally broke my back with this one.  I'm not taking another 8 months of my life away from me or my family for this garbage.
