how much you guys studying?

im doing about 3 hours a day....i started off with 1.5 for sgts and i winded up being burnt at the very end. But the way i look at it, this is going to prob be my last test to take unless for some awful reason i want to go to captain, might as well give it my all. Hows everyone else going about it?

this test is going to be a different beast. Unlike most of the other exams, this is extremely competitive. Just passing may not be good enough. Another reason is im trying to build up my mental stamina. Scored in low 90's raw on the 2011 sgt. Most of my wrong answers came from questions i did later in the test. Acouple of real stupid mistakes that i knew. I wont let that happen for this test because it can mean promotion and no promotion. FINALLY, this is prob my last test so to know that in 8 months i may never have to study the guide again or do the jst for the pts is a mighty nice sticking point.

Listen, 2011 sgt.test is not good indicator especially for those of you who keep getting promoted out that list.that was very easy test-just look how many people passed, numbers dont lie.
You must, literally, slaughter yourself studying for this test. This is it gents, either you pass it now or wait another 4 years. Those of us who failed 2011 lt test know what i am talking about.good luck to all

2011 easy test really?? Some of the worst sgts on this job are off the 2009 list!! They have almost ruined the rank.

Doesn't matter what test you took to become a boss. This department allows a behavior of bullying by rank. Not to mention numbers. When a cop is measured quantitatively then the department is doomed. Which in turn creates bosses who NEED favors but never return them. Am I bitter?

Bottom line is this job has created Everyman for himself so take the test and boost your pension the responsibilities of that rank are only temporary. Twenty and OUT

100%. The reason I finally woke up and took the 2011 test was because of who I watched pass the 2009 test. It was the first test for the $25,000 wonders and it really shows!

I have to agree with above statement about 2009 test sgts. I have seen and worked with many of them. Nothing good...

Who cares what the next guy is doing???  What kind of "fishing" question is that??

Study.   Practice.  Practice some more.  Take the test.   And that's the end of it.    Geez.
