Just go into your new CO's office the first time u step into your command and hand him a nice brand new 57 to the command of your choice. I'm sure he will sign and you should be on your way to a nice command in no time

that will definitely make a good first impression.
What makes these places sh1t for you guys? I mean, honestly, you haven't even gotten to the command yet...
If it's the commute I can definitely understand.
But otherwise, assuming that a command sucks without even having stepped foot in the door yet...? When I was in the academy as a recruit, people were all dropping names and hints that they had hooks and stuff. I thought I did too, but I wasn't holding my breath for it to come through. A few days before graduation, we got our commands and everyone looked like they were going to cry. What a bunch of crybabies..."Oh no, I got the 73! Oh no, I got the 75! Sh1t, I got the 46!"
No, my hook never came through, but I didn't complain about it. I ended up going to the 73 and a few months after that got transferred to another busy BN command and it's been the best learning experience ever, both for myself as a person and as a cop. Plus, the commute was excellent.
Give it a FAIR shake... maybe you'll end up liking the place.
