Moderators need to create a new forum for the tentative 2014 Test.... We need whatever rumor, discussion and/or information regarding the dates/specifics of that test. e.g., have the writers of the test been selected yet? What month? When exactly will test be given? ...

Anyone else get a letter from Mike Yanosik talking about a LT test in 2014? For him to send out that letter is a pretty good indication! Here's to wishful thinking!

 Ive gotten two. One in like Oct/Nov, one last month. Dont think its a rumor anymore, just waiting on the right time to announce it. My guess is the end of April/early May time frame for a Oct/Nov test.

Got an email from KSA regarding a possible LT's exam...I'll quote that email " I have also started working on a Lieutenants Exam course & will post that on our website in February. Our home study course will include the following elements"

Hopefully an exam would be announced in FEB/ MAR for an AUG/ SEP exam

At the pace that the Lt. list is moving I wouldn't be shocked if they pushed it back to the beginning of 2015.

 I agree with you as well. That list is moving slow as **** just like the '11 sgt list.

 

More time to learn the job as a boss AND to prep for the lt test wouldn't hurt.

Enough with all the "learn the job of a Sgt." nonsense.  I want to take this test already.  I'm ready to sit in the LT's locker room and watch TV for hours wearing my white shirt while the Sgt.'s run around all night! biggrin

 Thanks.  Yeah the people that matter are saying no test as of now scheduled for oct.   That obviously can change but at this point it's still not scheduled. And again sorry for the bad info.   I posted too quick. Lol.

Last time I checked they only had the captains exam stuff. You go to the finest health page (you can get there from the public nypd website) The username is finest health and the password is stay health. ( May be one word, I forget)
