I never did that packet they gave out. Seems like nobody did. I was almost sure that there would've been a dec class and that I wouldn't have been surprised if jan was a down month. I really hope jan picks back up and continues

I think theres a January class due to the fact that this December they are holding that Phase 1 garbage.

Is phase 1 taking place on Wednesdays only? I have Tuesday/Wednesday RDO's and today the desk officer told me the admin sgt had told her that she had some notification for me to go to the police academy but that it was on my RDOs. The sgt asked if I was on the list. I'm between 1170-1200.

Phase 5 is when they bring you back 6-9 months after bmoc to see how everyone is doing and basicly tell war stories. It's not mandatory.

guys as of right now bmoc is not preparing for a january class.Not good news, doesnt mean its a no! could still put a class together last minute. Apparently there arent any sgt vacancies? can anyone validate this?

There is a sgt vacancy sticky post that says there is.

Also some of the city's biggest classes have reached 20 years in aug and now coming up in feb so I don't there aren't any vacancies. From what was explained to me the sgt and lt vacancies are a bit different. There are a certain amount of lt spots that need to be filled but sgt spots depend upon how many cops the dept has. There's a ratio that goes in to play. I am not sure what the numbers are though.

The sgt at phase 1 today said that he thinks there is a good possibility for a January class and that's the rumor at the moment. He also specifically stated that he's being told that he's hearing they are going to go straight through once classes start up again and the list should hit 1400 by summer due to many pass over associated with guys passing it up who are waiting for a detective's shield. His words were any one in phase 1 today should expect to be in phase 5 in 12 months. Phase 5 is 4 months after BMOC. So you do the math. He also said for any one still concerned "the whole list is getting made." Now, I wasn't in phase 1 today but multiple friends of mine were and they all said the same. Again this is just opinion from an instructor there but it's better info than anything else we got at this point.

I was in phase one today. Sgt Malone actually said the list is not getting cut. Lu NG said he will know by Friday. Now the rumors that there's no class. Stfu bc the xo of the actually bmoc says he doesn't know neither. Holy sh*t not even for Xmas ppl can't stop making sh*t.

To reiterate what semp said.. I saw people ranging from1280's to early 1410's and the sgt said that the whole list was going to get made, the female sgt said.. that '' U guys should be here for phase 5'' a year from now.. and Lt Ng said that he will know by the end of the week about January Bmoc.
- On another note.. There were 2 sign in sheets... And if Queensfinest is really from queens.. Then I pretty much have an idea who he is lol.

Met a guy who was in late 1300 and he was reading for Lt already.. Ladies and gentlemen I got a feeling semp is right.. All is pointing out to this list going through all the way and in a timely manner for most of us to get a scratch at the next Lt test.
