Just FYI. A bunch of detectives got promoted November 26 and a bunch are being promoted on December 23. Out of those detectives I know several pass overs who deferred promotion. They told me they know a few more guys who they work with. So next class will have most of the guys who deferred promotion for the shield from OCCB. I don't know about DB. I don't think it will be over 7 or 8 names who deferred.

FYI around 17 narcotics 3 vice and 25 gang were in the June 2012 class for OCCB training. Not including undercovers.

Ok I am hearing a story that Kelly is going to promote the sgts up front in dec. any one else hear this?

I doubt it because A - it wouldn't behoove the job to do something nice like that. B- there's no reason the job would want to pay a bunch of mos Sgt's salary to sit at 1pp doing nothing and C- the job never does anything above and beyond for anyone unless it absolutely had to. Although that really would have made my Christmas and I do wish it true, but I think that's a fairytail.

That's highly unlikely. Only promotions upfront are those who were passed over and by law must be promoted as soon as possible in order to immediately receive the pay increase that was delayed to them.

Kelly isn't promoting people upfront just so he can go to another ceremony. He probably could care less at this point. I can't believe what cops are saying these days. Pathological liars.(sigh) I hope no defense attorneys ever visit this forum.....

The last LT exam I think they promoted the guys in bmoc early so they could take the test. Once in a blue moon the job accidentally does the right thing.

No they just allowed them to sign after the deadline for the exam because the exam was scheduled a day after their promotion.

5 guys got promoted up front on November 26, I believe there will be a Sgt's class on January. Might not be announced until the first week of January or last week of December.

For the 600 th time. Upfront promotions are to promote pass overs as soon as possible. They can and have sat in the academy and the Brooklyn property clerks office for a month or two waiting for a class. You can't delay a pass overs promotion after carb. They must be promoted as soon as possible.

Lets not lose patience. I've waited twenty years. What's one,two or three more months ? Ok maybe it would be nice to be in there sooner. But if U in the next class , then it'll be here before U know.
