CCRBs

Does anyone know if you can get promoted with open subject CCRBs? Unfortunately, I have three open subject cases.  One case is 16 months old so a disposition should be coming soon. The other two I was told I was going to be made a witness rather then the subject after my interview, but I was not switched over to a witness yet.  I am not on monitoring and I am roughly 150 names away.  Is this a passover until closed situation? CARB hearing? I seem to be getting different answers from everyone I ask.

10 4. I am not on any level of monitoring, no pending charges or CDs and no open investigations. Some of the bosses at the command are saying that an open subject CCRB is seen as an "open investigation" and could be a cause of a passover.

Hey Sgt2Be I'm about 300+ names away and I was also advised different things about CCRB as well. I Wad told 3 force complaints in a year and I'd be placed on monitoring and I would be passed.over -_- I don't know who are being genuine with their concerns or just blowing smoke up my ass... makes me anxious because I'm a collar guy and I gotta make my.OT

I had open lawsuits and an open CCRB that I was the subject.  I had no problems.  They were all BS anyway.

Only thing you would have to worry about is if CCRB substantiates the allegation against you. Since they now have disciplinary powers over us, you will have pending charges and you will get passed over.

It depends.  I know someone that recently had a substantiated CCRB for their language.  They are not going to the trial room for that.

Thanks guys for the responses.  If I call EMD will I get an answer? Or will they give me a run around?
