I don't think there is anything that BMOC will be able to fill you in on. It's based solely on vacancies and last I saw it was -33 with 34 on terminal. The fact they are promoting 50 people to LT would make it seem like there is very little chance of a may class.

Track the vacancies and go from there. If the job is +4, there is no way in hell they are going to promote 50 next month. It's easy to believe the quick rumor, but take a step back and look at it logically. Where the hell would these 50 Lt's go if we are +4?!

I understand what you mean..but you all know that this whole test process has been a nightmare from the beginning and yes we all are in a hurry to get promoted off this list..we don't mean to pressure Brat but are just trying to confirm the information that we are receiving from other sources.

You're preaching to the choir dude. I'm in the 400's, and I was upset where I ended up on the list and I can't wait to be promoted. However, a rumor being brought up 4 weeks prior to a possible class and asking for confirmation is silly. If you look at the numbers and how this job operates in general, it's a waste of time to start these things

MNfive-O, I don't know where these rumors are coming from, but since yesterday I have had 2 separate individuals tell me they're making another big class end of May. Maybe that info came from this board. But there is a buzz about this other large class, and for now I accept the speculation, for better or worse.

For what its worth, 2 friends currently in LT. BMOC stated another "big" class at end of month. Not sure of number though.
They claim this is from the Lt there. That's all I know.

ED, same info conveyed from someone I know in the current class as well. I was wondering the same thing big guy. I see the terminal #s but don't know how fast those guys are coming off terminal.

Just speculation, but I have a feeling they're promoting another 50 then it's quiet the rest of the summer. There's a big class that retires Aug 29th. So may see a Sept/Oct class. Hope I'm wrong. I'm about 90 names away.

We're pretty much in the same group booking fool. If we get this other large class, we would be lucky to pick up another moderate size in the 20-30s in Summer.

I know it is pretty early but by around this time last month there were other sources besides Academy that confirmed April class. Numbers were unclear however.

I have never posted about rumors or anything before. My old partner is a Sgt in EMD and heard 50 LT on May 24th, from the lieutenant at personnel. Anyone else heard something similar. I am less than 30 names away, hope to see some of you all, whenever we do go in.

I don't have a date or a number for the next class, but for what it's worth a buddy of mine told me that they have ready received calls from IAB to clear people for promotions. He says that it is pretty common for them to do this right before promotions.

Also heard 50. Dont see how its possible with the numbers being what they are (0 and 37). Could it be possible that 50 LTs are abruptly retiring and the numbers dont show it yet?

Yup. This is true. Calls are definitely being made for clearance on open cases.
