You attend your command the 3rd week and go back to the academy that Friday for the certificate.

I was in the class a few months ago and it was exactly 12 days. I must have slept through the field training part.

I was promoted June 29th and was assigned to the leadership course until July 20th (at my new command starting July 18th). Don't know if things have changed.
