It's gonna be tough to guesstimate without the numbers guy. -22 last time we checked... + 28 promos gives us + 6.... 12 went out today .... Gives us - 6. Only variable is the -5 for April . Were they off before promos or after? We could be -1 or -6. Any input?

When you add the 14 being promoted Capt on the 26 of June, there should be a class of about 30.

Thank You , they should've waited till after 06/30 for LTs since so many are coming off. Just as they should've till after 06/28 to allow the time hold overs from the prior Capt. test.

the job should've waited until after 06/30 to promote for two reasons:

 

1. Allows Lts who are ineligible due to time get promoted to captain since a few become eligible on 06/28

 

2. A few Lts are eligible to retire in 06/30 , making for a larger LT class

Dumb question but is this vacancy number reflecting the 43 currently in BMOC. Also before there was a math sign +,- infront of vacancy number does the absence mean -?

Yes, the numbers reflect the current class. When I post the #s with a plus(+), it means they promoted over the quota. Usually done anticipating the ones on terminal will come off in the near future.

The way the #s looks, it would be a no brainer to put in a class of 25, which is roughly half whats left on the current list.
