Who knows, Anythings possible. But the list is moving at a very fast pace to start and it would be odd to start slowing down now to the point where they dont promote at least another 250 in the next 8 months. Considering every year for countless years the jobs averaged 500 promotions a year with a far worse economy and far less new hires. The larger academy classes alone is enough reason to continue faster promotions. The fact is the job most likely is going to follow past routine and promote the same, but no one knows 4 years in advance if their is a cut # no matter what rank they are, and if they did have a number the Commisioner would have announced it the same way he did with the 2006 LT test. I'm sorry. These gloom and doom topics seem odd to me. Why else would some one post them other than to get a rise out of others.

Boys and girls, I know you will roll your eyes at the information I will give you but then again only an ostrich burries his head in the sand. What I bring to you is not good news so here it is:
MY SCOURCE IS A VERY HIGH RANKING MOS IN THE NYPD AND HE IS STICKING TO HIS GUNS WHEN IT COMES TO THE FACT THAT THIS ENTIRE LIST WILL NOT BE MADE.
Need I remind you that back in Feb (click my name and look up my only post) I posted a thread with his information regarding the release of the the list and the number of the list. People scoffed at the information and I was labeled a troll for it but come the month of April the first prediction came true. Better yet my source also said tha the list number would be slightly over 1500 and that also came true.
My source has been on the money since day one and so far 2 of his statements have come top pass with uncanny precision so it makes sense that his last statement would come to pass. He basically told me that I was safe but all those above 1300 are in limbo and would most likely get chopped off.

Your a loser dude lol if that's the case if 1300 is the last sergeant made then that would mean 325 sergeants would get made every year sorry to burst your bubble but with this August class that Will bring the tally to 240 sergeants leaving 7 months to go before the first year is complete....go back to your source and tell him/her that they are WRONG lol....let me guess your list number is 1299

Ladies and gentlemen this information comes directly from the horses mouth as to when the list is most likely coming out, how many people passed and if everyone will be made or not.
GET YOUR HATS AND BATS PEOPLE BECAUSE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS NOT GOING TO BE PRETTY AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
1.) The list will be coming out In April. This the source is sure of.
2.) The number of people who passed is currently at slightly over 1500
3.) The source verifies that not everyone will be made off this list. Why? Due to the declining NYPD headcount, the need for Sgts will not be in great demand. The source backs his claims by pointing to the fact that during the early 90's there were several huge classes put into the academy under Dinkin's program, Safe City Safe Streets. 1991 was the beginning of the influx of large classes that numbered between 2500-3000 per class. Sadly, these classes are now reaching the retirement age and the source states that early indications are that they are running for the door at an alarming rate. Keep in mind that from 1991-1996 there were 2 consistent large classes per year. Do the math and you will suddenly realize that the need for Sgts will diminish and that the 2011 Sgt's list will be witness to many people dying on said list.
4.) The list has a high number of candidates who scored between 80-88. The source states this is quite unusual and bolsters his notion that some will die on the list especially when said list is top heavy. Keep in mind what the PC stated once before....."WE ARE SEEKING THE CREAM OF THE CROP"

Semp1, you are incorrect. You can ban a user based on his MAC address. Every wi-fi apparatus has a unique one.
As for Sgt4sure, he did predict the the unpredictable back in February which for whatever reason I can not help but lend him an ear even though it is my bad ear. HAH!
His source has some skills to even peg the release of the list and the general number of people on said list. This one fact I can not ignore. He might be lucky or even credible.

Saying "50 percent chance either way" shows a general lack of understanding of statistics. Yes there are two options, a.) list completed b.) list terminated prior to completion, but that does not mean that the odds are split down the middle 50/50.
It would be like saying, theres a 50/50 chance the moon is going to crash into the earth, it will either a.) happen b.) not happen, but I wouldn't say the odds are 50% that it will happen.
2 options doesn't necessitate a even split.

i do hope youre not talking about me...i do try to give my honest opinion. Think guys on here should be open to the fact that this list could die....or everyone can get promoted and when the next list comes out that is this big, will serve as a example of what most likely will happen. I see too many guys on here just want to read what they want to hear. Anyone on the end of the list, if a new test is announced and youre not the next class to go into BMOC, just study for the next test. My best advice. PS before you bash me, i stated it before and will reiterate it again. I BELIEVE EVERYONE WILL GET MADE!

I don't want to get involved in your pissing match here, but since when is "slightly over 1500" close to 1663? That's a 10% deviation. Which is outside what I would call accurate.
If I guessed I was going to get a 88 on the test and actually got a 79 (10% deviation) you wouldn't say I was "right on" with my guess.
i dont understand why u guys get so offended by ppl will post the list will expire.....it either will or it wont! 50 percent chance either way. Everyone has their opinion and one will be right and one will not. I get the trolls on here come on and boast about false info that the list will expire, but some guys come on here and say how the list will not expire and everyone praises them as a god. Lists have been exhausted before! No list with a cut off score of 70 and above has ever been this BIG! so simply stated, you have a scenario that never existed. Lists prior had big numbers but no cut off scores. Lists with a cut off score never had over 1600 ppl on it. So to say its 50/50 is actually a pretty good statement. My opinion, most of the list will be made. But still, anything can happen especially with the NYPD

Who wants to know chief izzo/ former iab and other aliases "Real name"?... last month he made the mistake of mentioning that he scored an 84.xx after all the decimal points were added ..... - up to that date there were only 5 guys with an 84.xx that were next on the list.... -OUT OF THESE 5 GUYS ..... ONLY 1 entered BMOC. So we dont need to be a genious .. Chief Izzo is the only one with an 84.xx on the 2012 DECEMBER BMOC. ... Now ladies and gentlemen.. it only takes a couple of minutes to do a process of elimination.
