RE: August BMOC

I always respected the SBA way more than the PBA. Can't wait to be apart of that union.

Yea Salerno is an awesome guy. Actually, in all honesty, he is 100% out to hurt both housing cops and lower supervisors. He stresses memo books, don't give him any easy ones. He will crucify you for the smallest thing. We had 75 people in BMOC in the beginning, and we're ending the month with 74 because of him and his quest to please Jaffe. FYI.

I guess he is the equivalent of Capt Edwards for people on patrol in the Bronx.

The only difference is that Salerno got a pitty promotion to DI. He cried to Jaffe that the pct COs would curse him out, and kick him out the command in front of everybody. Now he walks in commands and if ATTENTION isn't called, he flips out on the desk.

His office is in PSA1.  He loves to mess with Sgts.  He actually will yell at a boss if he doesn't scratch his driver.  What sense does that make?

If you scratch Viper the same time everyday he will torture you.  Your memobook better be up to date.  Also, your cops quest for excellence sheets better be signed as well.  For a while he was giving hits if you didnt have your cobra gear... like there is going to be a terrorist attack in housing.  Make sure that all your cops put themselves in the book or you put them in the book when they take meal.  Make sure you put yourself in as well.  He loves giving CDs to bosses that take extended meals.  Once in a while... very rarely... he will actually wait on a floor of a project building to see if you are doing your verticals properly.  No seatbelt is an easy one for him.   Pretty much try to avoid him and just yes him to death.  Keep your memobook up to date as best you can.  His newest trend is yanking on lockers to see if they open.  If it does you will be getting a nice hit.  Protect your cops and yourself.

 Confirmed!

Just wanna add if you're an impact sgt in housing. Know where your guys get their meal. Banged out some for them getting meal out of command. Meanwhile they were on their way TO THE BASE!

Let me get this straight and maybe I'm reading this wrong but he will yell at you for not scratching your OWN driver??????????????

yes scratch ur OWN driver, everyday. It may seem ridiculous but you all your doing is making sure the cops actually keep a memo book. It looks really bad if inspections or c.o.p. comes around for a scratch and your driver hasn't updated his book in a week.

He may even give you a CD.  He yelled at a LT for not calling attention for him even though he is never in uniform.  He pretty much is the only blemish about being a supervisor in housing.

Only blemish? U obviously have not dealt with the inspections LT, Chief Jaffe, DI Haynes.. Etc etc. There are plenty of reasons to stay outta Housing. Avoid it like the plague if u can.

I have dealt with all of them except maybe the inspections Lt. Not sure who that is.  As a cop or Sgt you will rarely if ever deal with the latter.  It really isn't a bad place in my opinion.  You can knock every command, borough, or bureau.  Overall, I believe housing is a good spot for a Sgt.  Just stay away from Salerno.
