This is the list of those who were Passed over. Please note the ones with the ** become eligiable for promotion in July. My apologies if there are any errors:
Unfortunately I think it might be possible the list barely moves with the next class in August. There will be 58 guys eligible stil in the top 200 and if they are putting in small classes of 40-50, it may not really move which sucks because I'm in the very low 200's
My post from other thread: This is my first post on this site- I've been checking daily for the recent rumors (I missed this June class by less than 5 names...). Up to list #200 there's 21 who become eligible and will make next class (Assuming no holdups / credit issues / military and so on). Have to figure another 10-12 passovers clear up their issues over next two months (Currently 27 non time related passovers up on list). That's 33 (estimate). Say a class of 45 (minimal), that puts it at list #209-212.
The August BMOC class will consist of 3/4 pass overs. There will be virtually no movement on the list until the September class. 40 a class is the norm now so hunker down fellas it is going to be a very long wait to get promoted if you are on the other side of 1000 like myself.
The fact that Kevin Brennan got passed over is disgusting! The man is hero! Truly shows how horrible the leadership on this job is
Not to play devil's advocate but he was recently promoted to detective. Maybe he wants to defer it a bit, or the job won't promote him because he's not back to full duty (they should make an exception if thats the case of course)
I dont know Det. Brennan, but he may like a friend of mine who also deffered his promotion, until he hits top pay Detective. The reasoning is as a top pay detective will go up to top pay Sergeant. But you might be right maybe he is not full duty and thats why he was passed over. No matter what it is the man is a hero,
Det. Brennan only got passed up for BMOC; u can't be in the class if u are out sick. Trust me he will be promoted on June 29th to the rank of Sergeant and make up BMOC when he comes off sick.
Theyvare not screwing they are helping him, he needs to be a detective for exactly 1 year to hit top pay when he gets promoted tO sergeant. He is a hero but there are still civil service laws the job has to abide by. His next tour of duty will be as a sergeant in midtown south come feb 2013

dude idk where you are getting your info from but its wrong! you will not go to top pay as a detective for one year....you will go to the next higher step as a sgt which will def not be top pay. It wont be base pay either, but def not top pay. Before you argue with me, this was discusssed in detail by the SBA
To hit top pay Detective you have to have about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 of years in rank as a Detective. The contract is a bit confusing, but you hit top pay detective somewhere between your 2nd and 3rd year in rank.
Can everybody just worry about themselves and when u are getting made. He is a hero but to start a thread over his status on getting promoted is retatded
Not to start an argument................Detectives reach top pay in 2 years. You get 3 raises (the day you get promoted, your first anniversary and then your second) Right now currently, a Detective with 1 year in rank makes more than a 3rd step Sgt. When Detectives get promoted and they have more than 1 year in rank, they either get stay at the pay rate for 1 year which hasnt happened yet or they go to top pay Sgt. People can say what they want and what they heard. 2 of my partners made Sgt with a little over 1 year in rank as a Detective and both went to top pay. When I swing back in Ill post the Detective pay chart to prove my point. As for Det Brennan, I never thought of it but maybe your right they did that to take care of him. Not for nothing then promoted him and give him SA money then. Plenty of Sgts in IAB got the money why not give it to a real Cop.
Pisses me off that the next class will not put a dent in the list whatsoever. In reality August's class will not see any movement for anyone except those with no time on the job who passed.
By the way Just heads up Brat just stated on the Lts. forum that 35 Sgts. will be getting promoted to Lieutenant at the end of the month. Does that mean an additional 35 Sergeant slots open for next BMOC class on top of whatever number they were already considering. Or are they already taking into account the guys that are presently in BMOC ?
Bigfoot I was wondering ur math. Did u actually do some calculations. I'm just curious. I was playing around with some numbers. I figured around 205. Of course it's all speculation so we r just wasting our time.
187 + 50 = 237- 17 that become elgible in July equals 220. Then I think about ten guys that got skipped will clear things up. 220-10 equals 210. Just a guess, but I'm pretty confident they will get to at least 210.

im sure from 187 to 230 there will be some passovers for other than time reasons. so the one that clear issues from before will wash out the new passovers.
