Ha! Next friday now, thought it was next wednesday?! Or wait i thought it was 4 of the last 5 wednesdays! Oh no but then i forgot some other guy said a promtional list only comes out the first wednesday of a month so it cant be next friday so maybe it is next wednesday based on that one! Wow cant wait to come on next week this time and see the post of: damn no list today but im hearing its next wednesday the 13th...unbelievable-- sooner or later i guess if u pick every possible day it could come out someone will eventually be right

I stopped "caring" about this list as of late. It'll come out when it comes out. Treat this list like as if it's girl that just broke up with u. Sure, she would love for u to hang by the phone and wait for her to call. But instead say fvck it and hang out with ur boys and throw back shots and pick up women at the bar instead. And trust me before u know it she'll come running back to u. Why? Because ur not giving her the attention she desires and expects. DCAS is that chick. So let "her" be. We been chasing her for far too long. she'll come around when we least expect it.

It's par for the course for the 928 taxes. We got the screw job on every single test. Thus we are still trapped in the sba.
List can't be too far out but if nothing by next week, I will officially tap out.

Big guy I guess you didn't do well on the reading comprehension questions. I stated by next Friday. My source couldn't give me an exact date. It could be any day next week, Friday at the latest.

Put it this way guys. Just thinking logically. There is a SGT BMOC going in on June 4. Therefore promotions would be around June 29 (figuring they don't do it the week of the 4th of July). If we are around -12 LTs right now, I would think that there will be even more vacancies by then so they will have to promote LTs. I'm still guessing the 2nd week of June for the list

I feel almost the same way as Big Guy; that is to say, frustrated. Thank goodness I have the self control not to emotionally purge on the forum.
I do think we have to be in the final stretch though. Lts are being promoted and retiring. They have no list to hire from. Hold on tight. It's gotta be soon.

 That's my assumption as well coupled with the fact that 40+ come off terminal July 1st (even though not all will retire) and no promotions scheduled for July  I cant foresee the department holding out promoting until late August.    If that is the case than the list must come out next week to give the department ample time to conduct background checks.

I know one of the LT's I work with got promoted to LT on July 2nd for fiscal reasons, so we'll have to see what they tell the Sgt's in June BMOC for promotion date. Either way, manpower numbers look like they will need LT's with the next promotion so the list should be out in 2 weeks. Just trying to use logic- which means there is a 90% chance I'm wrong.

So they told them in BMOC that tentative promotion is scheduled for 6/29. So far that is on par with the 6/29 guess for the first LT class. I can see them pushing it back til 7/3 or 7/6 for the new fiscal year and budget reasons

Yea but there was an active list out at that time.......the 2003 list. They were still promoting from that one.

 The difference is they over promoted drastically due to an impending lawsuit by the 2003 Lt candidates.  The department didnt have the vacancies to promote for quite some time which is currently not the case with 2011 exam.

And even the May 2003 LT exam had 4.......FOUR!!!! double answers. And from what I heard it was a pretty fair/easy exam. so I think we're gonna be ok fellas.

The vacancy numbers seem to be rising. Does anyone NOT think they will promote at the end of the month/beginning of July? I'm really starting to believe this thing will be out in the next two weeks.

So are you ever going to post anything of substance, or is your whole "thing" to take us down a peg every chance you get? You have already expressed your disdain for us 2011 guys numerous times over. Monday the Lieutenant rank was at 1745, tuesday it was at 1733, today its at 1731. Just by the nature of 12 lieuts making captain the vacanies numbers have risen.

Just ignore STI AKA Ike Turner and whatever other user names he's using. Even on Exam X he only posted vacancy #'s which anyone can get and he announced about a month in advance when a class was going in . He never really had any groundbreaking intel. He was wrong about the 06 list reaching 850 and about the 11 test having no throwouts.

Good catch.  I probably should have read the NOE more closely and perhaps I wouldn't have been so blindsided on 10/29.

From 1534 NOE:

 

  1. The maximum total credit attainable on Seniority and Departmental Awards is 8.751 points. Credit for seniority will be granted before granting credit for awards. This will allow maximum use of awards. Any additional credit earned for awards beyond the maximum may be granted in a subsequent promotion examination, except for awards given partial credit as indicated in c above.
