The whole process is bull**** with the personnel section... I bet for a fact one person wanted to go let's say housing and another wanted transit and the guy who wanted housing gets transit and so forth ... I'm not complaining cause I got where I wanted because of a phone call and got lucky however why no dream sheet at least to at least try to accommodate the poor guys without a phone call.. Maybe it's cause there's so many hooks the dream sheet would be useless anyway

So if # 1 went to the 83, who does number 2 work for?

What did #2 get??  Almost anywhere would be a bad commute for him,  he lives in the sticks.

83 is a hook house. I would commute there in heart beat rather than go minutes away to a crappy command like mine.

Besides signing medical treatment forms, what else does a boss do at the court section? My commute stayed absolutely the same and now there is not even parking at this cmd. That guy from emd is full of it they did absolutely zero for me.

It may be that but there is more opportunity for OT than a sgt on patrol.  Gotta look at the bright side.

I am in Brooklyn and I heard the sgts at BCB DO get the OT. Can someone tell us which one heard the correct info?

If they get NO OT thats horrible. The least they can do for Sgts is give them time and a half for their cabin fever.

I've worked in Brooklyn and Manhattan and have done numerous transports in both Boroughs. Just like how the process to lodge a prisoner is completely different in mcb as opposed to bcb im sure sgts im mcb may not get overtime but the sgts in bcb may get ot.

Side note MCB is WAY better than BCB lol

Hey Beans,

I am Brooklyn Cop. Ive done plenty of transports and it is ****ty. I am told by others who have been to other boros that, YES, it IS the worst central booking process of them all.

"Sgts on patrol don't get OT"... True except if you with in PBMS. Plenty of cash OT to go around, and you ain't working all that hard for it. Every week in the summer there's another tit detail or street fair. Manhattan South is different from the rest of the job. Great place to work if ya got the juice to get there.

I've been at every CB, except for Bronx and I have to say BCB was the worst. Although, I have heard that Bronx CB is the worst ( As a cop). I had a Sgt. that went to BCB and he loved it. It's all depends on who you ask. I'll give you guys the best advise I ever got on the job, "make it work for you". Good luck!
