The last couple of months, sadly beginning with the murder of Det. Figoski in December we have had 8 fellow brothers shot in the line of duty, and today we had a fellow officer on what some might think is a routine job, stabbed in the head by some EDP. But some may not know that 5 active, and 1 fellow brother on terminal leave took their own lives just this year alone. This website has great intentions, and it seems that its creators mean well. But we must stop bashing each other, and making up rumors and lies that over stress many of your fellow brothers and sisters. We have enough to worry about, to worry about if a thread or a post that is posted is true or not. That is the problem with this job now. We don't stick together. We must support each other. Besides our own families, this Job is like a second family. How would you feel if you knew that a fellow officer who sadly to say was already dealing with personnel issues takes his/her own life because you posted false information or called him/her out on some thread. Is it impossible yes, but it is also possible.
This is not a rant and I am not calling anyone out, because I am not here to bash or badmouth anyone. But we must support each each other. We must wish our fellow officers all the best. That same officer you lie to or you bash, may be the one that is the first one on the scene when you call an 85 or a 13. You may leave negative comments, and call me whatever you want. I will not bash you, nor will I stoop to your level. But I will answer your 85 or 13. I will support and hope only the best for you and your family. Hoping that you all have a safe tour. Hey man, easy now. I agree that all of us should stick together and I'm not one to post false info intentionally just to get a rise out of people, but the trolls are just trying their hand at their version of humor. While most of us don't find it funny (usually), I don't think it's going to stress any of us out enough to do something drastic.

Well said, if someone has received information that they feel is reliable, they should be free to post it here without fear of retribution from people that either have nothing better to do, or have received conflicting information.
Just post what a credible source has said, disclose as much as you feel like you can about the nature of the source, and discuss. The whole competition and war of words back and forth has gotten completely out of control. We all know how this job works, something that can be set in stone today can be changed tomorrow. Just because someone was wrong with a piece of information, doesn't mean their source was bad or they are necessarily a troll (even though there are certainly plenty of those here).
Please just put out information if and when you receive it, and leave the BS out.
Unless you say something that someone wants to hear, you're labeled a troll. The moderator is an incompetent idiot which makes things worse. Time for new leadership here. Someone who can bring us all together.

NYCOP80, you are obviously not cut out to be a mod if the likes of this infantile fool is able to outsmart you. Try banning the I.P of his general location. Any true mod knows how to ban an entire region if need be just by deciphering the few numbers within the ip's being used. Via the I.P one can conclude that a person is from a specific town or state. Once you are armed with said information you can focus in and ban that entire area. As a mod, one can not allow anyone from said area to ever log in even if he uses multiple I.P addresses.
Do you even know what you are doing , as a mod?

Nycop80 is wearing kiddy gloves. He should take them off and finally dish out the final one two blow to the diseased one. I too wonder why he does not finally get rid of him.
