The #1 priority at DCAS right now is administering the current FDNY exam and making sure that it doesn't get thrown out. I have friends that have just recently taken the written portion. I inquired at DCAS in regards to the list, mentioned the FD exam and was told that it is the focus right now. It is what it is, hopefully the first class goes in before the Captain's exam so those that are at the top of the list have the opportunity to take it.
It's obvious this user has no idea what he is talking about. it's shameful to have to deal with so many clowns that passed that romper room sgt. Exam in patrol or in an unit during the next four years.
You dont need to promote in order for the list to be made public. If in fact the rank is over by 22 that number doesnt take into account current personnel on terminal. There might be a need for promotion next month depending on when the terminal personnel officially retire.
Guys I am not trying to get anyone upset here. The 43 Lt's got their commands today and were told by BMOC that the new list will not be out til July. They are over by 22 Lt's and no Capts class any time soon.
