Every rumor spat out so far has gone the way of the do-do bird but rest assured this is no rumor. Friends at the puzzle palace confirm this one. Expect the list to come out early June and the first BMOC class to go in shortly aftwewards.

Friends tell me the job is not in a rush to hire any new sgts because the ranks are thinning and even more are expected to leave in the coming years. In June the 1992 class which consisted of almost 2500 recruits will be retiring. Six months later another 3000 cops will hit their 20. The cycle of big classes hitting 20 will continue until the last class from 1997 retires. The Mayor has no intention of replacing all those who are leaving. Sadly the 2011 Sgt's  list will most likely get extended far beyond its 4 year span.

Oh and another likelyhood is that there will be no new Sgts test for a long long time.
