I just watched Michael Jackson's "thriller " video -- and it reminded me off my fellow sgts walking around outside of Murry Bertraum H.S in the snow after the test looking like those zombies in Michaels video. guys who didn't know each other were just standing around looking into space---while the snow was pouring on their heads -- it was girls too
Lt failure, your not the first person to say that. Someone told people were just walking up to each other without even knowing them and asking "what the hell was that?"
When the bell rang everybody in my class picked up their heads and was just looking at each other. Nobody got out of their seats for at least a minute. I was so out of it i stepped in 3 ankle deep puddles as i walked to my car and i didnt even care. Lol
Def a weird day. After shaking my head for 5-6 hrs then walking 6-8 blocks in a snow storm and having nothing to clean my car of the snow. Took me a while to get myself together....
i suppose someone up top decided they wanted new Lt's with certain qualities, which are better writing skills, decision making and compstat numbers skills
Yea, but the guy that wrote the test can't spell, use proper grammar, or is it grammer, but is a master of standerd proper English. He don not know what he is talk about.
I got to say too, decision making....How about the toilet paper question? What sort of decision making is that? If something like that was brought to my attention I think I would say " Are you kidding me?" Maybe that means I'm a bad boss then. If this is the gauge I am okay with that then.
I spoke to a sgt after the test who has ten years in the rank and he said that he is glad that the department gave a test like that. He also said that the test was for thinkers and will weed out sgts who can't speak english. I saw him two months ago and I found out that he scored 65. Some much for thinkers.
i think if you are a good thinker (as posted) it would get you in the area of a 60... any additional points after that were from studying and knowing the patrol guide .....
those of you who got a 70 or better... its no question... they are good thinkers and know the patrol guide as well and just what the job is looking for now as new Lt.
