Happy Holidays everyone! I got a letter in the mail the other day from DCAS, the letter states I have an interview and my fingerprints be taken with regards to promotion to Sergeant. The interview in on the 19th of January. It's for verification of Military Service. Anyone else receive a letter? How many points does Veterans Credit allow? Any info will be much appreciated! BTW, the interview is being held at 1 Center Street.
Yea I got the same letter. My advice would to be save them for LT or Capt (if you plan to make Lt/Capt that is). I checked that box too but I'm not going to use them on the sgt exam. Big thing is 2.5 points that can only be used ONCE. So make them count.
What did you guys score? I at about a 90 with medals and long points. I believe I didnt check the box claiming my vet points. Will I still be notified if I didnt check the box claiming them? I live in Suffolk, so I assume Id get the letter a day after the City guys do
I got a 71 with the throw out.. so I may very well take that 2.5 that will boost my overall score to an 81 not including departmentawards. Suntrust, I thought it was 5 points as well, but then I thought maybe that's residential credit (which we no longer can claim). I could not find it either so 2.5 is good enough for me if it indeed is 5 that even better though I doubt it's that much.

How many throw outs did they have, I haven't heard anything as of yet?

I'm assuming question # 97 that grammar question, will get tossed.
I hear ya...good luck with that. I unfortunately received a 68 and was hoping two questions get thrown out at the least, but they have to be the right 2 questions that I got wrong. I got question #97 correct!
