Just got back from the protest, not sure about the number, but the correct answer was to refer the complainant to the other precinct to "report the crime". They make no mention of a police accident report in the correct answer. My argument is that they can report the crime anywhere, they should have been referred just for the PAR.
Do you know what question # that was and what answer choice you put as being correct? I'm going to the protest tomorrow and I want to look at that one as well.
You are not just referring for the par, its also for the 61par for leaving the scene w/injuries. This is the only time you refer the complainant and not the complaint

True, but I still think you may take the 61, the PAR must be referred.
Was looking to protest this too. Doesn't look good. I don't remember the details now, but during the protest review session I looked at 217-13. I remember the following played a part in the correct answer. Especially the last line.
Any person(s)/party appearing in person at a police facility and requesting initial preparation of a Police Accident Report for an accident that does not meet the above criteria, shall instead be given a copy of New York State Department of Motor Vehicles - Report of Motor Vehicle Accident (MV104) to complete and submit on their own. Any person(s)/party appearing in person at a police facility and requesting that a Police Accident Report be completed for them, where property damage to a vehicle or personal injury is involved, and the operator of one of the vehicles has fled the scene without reporting, will be referred to the command where the accident occurred (see P.G. 217-05, "Leaving the Scene").
Even the answer to tell the c/v that a non-refundable fee of $10 is needed to get a copy of report is no good because that is the highway safety officer's job.
After looking at it during protest today this ones a waste to protest like the guys up top who quoted the PG it's in there, better off spending time on another one!
