I was a fan of Rising Star before, but I must admit, yesterday brought me a whole new respect for them. Tony Raganella from Rising Star came into our protest session room dressed in business attire and introduced himself to all of us. He then went on to thoroughly explain DCAS's protest procedure and how to prepare a well-reasoned argument (he even brought in copies of a prior Lt. Exam protest that he won and handed it out to everyone for reference!). He also brought with him the supervision book for us to look at and pointed out one specific page some of us used to protest question #93. Tony sat there for hours and read anyones protest before they handed it in and answered questions. I'm pretty sure he filed a protest or two himself! When he left, he told us we could e-mail him to proofread any mail-in protests we do later on. What was most impressive, is that he did not once badmouth another school or try in any way to plug Rising Star, other than being there. He didn't care or ask if we were Rising Star students, he just helped. I'm not sure if the other schools showed up, but Tony was definitely a huge help to the 20+ of us in that room yesterday - just in the support aspect alone. I understand the schools are in business to make money - obviously; but when you talk about schools just taking your money and running, that's not the impression I got from Rising Star - they didn't have to be there, but they were. Anyway, this post is my thank you to them, regardless of how this mess of a test turns out for us!
people should stop blaming the schools. i think they were as blindsided as we all were with this test. they need us to do well so that they get future business. its not all about money, they needed us to pass and to refer others to their school. any help now is appreciated.
but you know what, i was a key student, and also a fast track student. i havent heard too much from the key and as far as fast track, i only get the vibe that mike is trying to push his new company. rising star definitely has my respect and i will be a future rising star student.
Mike from the school formerly known as "The Fast Track" was at yesterday's protest session and was in my room. I was a "student" of all three schools and I cannot blame any of them for the test that was given on October 29th. However, I can find fault with the people who wrote our exam.
I want to thank all of my peers who showed up yesterday to protest, as well as Tony from Rising Star and Mike from Elite Strategic Training. I hope our protests don't fall on deaf ears.
ok i take that back.... And my friend went to the protest session today, george from the key was there as well in the same class as my friend. he helped shape a few of the protests as well.
