Shout out to Those who went sick before the Exam.

Thanks for sticking it to the rest of us who had to cover for you while you were "SICK".  Those extra days, sure helped out. Right!

Why is it any different than the person who took a couple weeks vacation before the test to study. Most commands are short, so someone has to cover. At this point who cares.

My point is, who gives a sh!t. Vacation, sick, it doesn't matter, stop complaining about what others did. And you're right, SHIP, that's why I took vacation in July, August and Christmas, and all the rookie sgts had left to choose we're september and october

I'm one lf those rookie Sgts. It is very likey that I won't ever understand the privlege that your seniority affords you in the rank of Sergeant. I'm ok with that :)

You're missing the point. Who cares if someone went sick or took vacation in October, does anyone really think someone benefited? Especially with this bulls!t test.

ppl who really benefited are the ones who took it after they had a chance to read some of the stuff on this forum and spoke to others who took it on sat. For a fact some of them started out with grammar and math. in any case they knew somewhat what to expect and were not blind sided.

i olso observed a patternt in the answers, 3 of the answers had something in common including the right answer and forth choice was deff wrong.

MN50 I agree with you that people shouldn't be crying about other people going sick. I also think that if you have somebody in mind that went sick and it caused you to have to do a double then it would be a better idea to speak face to face with that specific individual instead of anonymously crying on a message board.

Too bad Lt's and the non-studying Sgt's in your command didn't pick up the slack for a few weeks. Even the ICO in my command did patrol for a day.

Your ICO understands exactly what I am 'crying about'. He is in the minority of people that can see past their own interests, so that people like you and I can benefit some.
That is a character trait that many do not share on this job. Let your fellow worker pick up your sh*t, because you're too busy showboating. I always say, you can never know the person next to you until they are pushed and pressed by whatever life brings. Then, whatever is inside them comes bursting out. So use your imagination a bit and maybe you'll understand my tearful attitude MATE.

Oh, as far as the sick and vacation being all the same. If you had a pick for that time, great. The two have nothing to do with each other. One was picked the year before, the other was planned right before.

It is my honest opinion that if you were stuck holding another person's bag of sh1t because he or she went sick, let that individual know that you were forced to do doubles for a week straight and you may have failed the exam as a direct result of his minor illness.

You make the mistake of assuming it was only 1 individual. I am talking about several fellow sgts. going sick at the same time.

Whether it was picked a year ago or planned the week before, someone had to cover right? So there is no difference. Like wannabelt said, go tell these sgts how you feel about what they did, because you're not getting much sympathy here. And I'm sure the ICO someone mentioned was ordered to do patrol due to lack of coverage. At least in my command, when detail sgts are ordered to cover patrol or the desk due to vacation or sick they act as if they just received a notice that their fingernails will be yanked out with pliers. Not too many altruistic people out there, especially on this job. You should've gone sick buddy
