Got the wind knocked out of US. (whether you like it or not)!!!

I gotta say , in some strange way I enjoyed that test.  Now don't get too excited about that statement.  Yes, it was a mess.  However, it is an indication of things to come.  I, for one enjoy a good challenge once in a while.  I was late for the exam and like many of you had very little sleep the night before.  Sitting there waiting for things to get going, knowing that this very exam is so important to me at this stage of my career was in and of itself a test.  When I saw that there were 17 in-basket question, I was ecstatic.  Then, about a dozen questions past #18, I realized, I was Alice in wonderland.

I was taught, that is does a man good, to have his face smacked around here and there to remind him what he's made of.  This was not my idea of that.  I tried to make the best of it.  I sat there thinking, as long as I keep a cool head, I might have a shot at this.  Call it wishfull thinking, but I think anyone who studied the patrol guide and was able to hold it together had a decent chance to pass this test. (will not need more than that)

DCASS did drop the ball on providing proper NOTICE to us for things to come.  That certainly does not sit well with me.  The intent and aim of this exam is quite noticeable.  The department wants more than just P.G. crammers.  The execution of the exam was far from ideal.  ( the specifics of that has been discussed already by fellow posters).  Yet i hope in some way this will all work out>

Good so you won't mind when people that all had fair exams are Lt's and you are not? Or someone gets promoted bc they handled the toilet paper, crying PAA, shycanning EEO questions better than you? Test was absolute shyt and these writers should be ashamed of themselves. They look ignorant and petty writing questions on material it was clear they often did not understand...

I actually attended the recent promotions, where sgts. were getting promoted to lt. Yes, they did take a different test and they deserve their prize.

What is the difference then, if you know how many 49s are prepared for each incident, yet can't strings words together coherently, or perform basic mathematics?

I was angry just the same after the exam. However things change over time. What we were hoping for and gotten used to, was once new and different to sgts. some time ago. Were previous test takers not deserving of their promotion, because 'their' test was based on new standards? Can they say that test takers before them had a fair test and they didn't?
Yes, this sucks and we're in it this time. Maybe people have a hard time accepting that and just want things to be like they were, but the job is changing whether we like it or not.

Putting aside the logic of having all these judgment questions -- there was simply not enough time to complete that test. It took me almost 6 hours, where on previous tests I could be done in 2. The PG questions made no sense and were contradictory. The people that wrote the test didn't know what they were talking about.
