Just got back and I have to say that I found the test to be fair. I am so temoted to say it was easy but let me hold back a smidge. I definitely passed and I hope that most of not all of you did as well.
I must have taken a completely different test than you did. Hmmmm.... can you please advise if I used proper English just now? Why, I do believe I may have done so, just now, in this response post!
YOU GUYS ARE JUST GREEN WITH ENVY AT THE REALITY OF IT ALL. I FOUND IT EASY. I SAID THE SAME THING ABOUT THE 2009 TEST AND HERE I AM! Good luck to all who did not respond with bile and hatred. I hope all the envious peons failed.
I feel the test was fair in the way that it asked all the things LT's should know..such as comprehension, reading, work knowledge, judgement etc...on previous tests they would ask nonsense and even if you were fairly intellegent you had to memorize things word for word. Why do we have to know the exact height of letters on a jacket?? There were a few questions that could have double answers. I know I did ok on this test. I think there was a lot of senarios that we will deal with every day when promoted. I hope you all end up doing better then you think.
I do agree with you Bklynvet to a point... I just think, IMHO as this is only my second test (1st being my Sgt exam) that it would have been nice to get some insight from any of the instructors about the test platform changing (unless this was discussed and I missed it as CLEARLY I am not certain).
I would like to think that I have some others who will agree with me... or not, who knows.
When the schools discuss grammer it's more along the lines of "Know, No" or "To, Too, Two".
This test reminded me more of an SAT exam rather than a test of Patrol Guide knowledge. Also, unlike many of my counterparts I am not college educated. I was a "pre-college" kid when I came on.
the schools and/or instructors have no idea what the test is going to be like......that is why often you see them applyng and taking the exams themselves......if they knew what the exam was like, they wouldn't need to go

Please do the following....in order
1. Get over yourself
2. Cover yourself in honey and slap a beehive
3. Get over yourself
Well I studied and I thought the straight PG questions were very vague and very tricky. I really think many can be appealed with double answers. The 205 question that didn't even follow the procedure it was going to in the fact pattern had a choice that was in the Additional data that had you referring to 218. Think "orange cap" question, without giving it away to the sabbath observers. They want you to answer a question based on something out of 205, but in the same procedure something from 218 is in the additional data and appears as choice? How do you pick "most correct" in a sequence of events that actually combines two procedures and the 205 procedure wasn't followed by the Sgt or Lt, but was expected to be followed when answering the question?
I thought that question was trickey but you were only the Lt, you were not the person that the additional data says you had to be, so I went with what the first few steps of the procedure said. I'm sorry for being so vague, I don't want to give anything away.
What a bunch of whiny unintellectual sour pusses some of you are. It saddens me that you find the need to bash me because I found this test fair and to the point. It was an easy venture in my book. Granted, some found it extremely hard but that only shows the level of you understanding and the limited capacity of your brain to comprehend the simulated problems confronted by a typical Lt. candidate. This test was made to weed out those less inclined to be promoted and like clock work those who failed now lash out with anger and disdain at those who moved up the evolutionary ladder of rank. Some are destined to pass and some are destined to languish in the rudimentary rank of Sgt. It is after all the nature of the beast. Rest assured that you remaining a Sgt does serve a purpose. The job needs institutionalized Sgts hence you did not pass. Oh well.
Good luck to all those who passed and for those who failed....STUDY HARDER NEXT TIME!
