The cut off date for I.O.s is a month before the exam. We are definitely going to be responsible for PETS, which is gonna whipe out 218 completely. Studying blows.

The sgt exam NOW even STATES (aug 15th) as the cut off..........so I assure you lt exam will be Aug 29th.

PETS is not yet a citywide program..........and if its not citywide it WONT be on the exam

As if now, all of the PETS revisions are in OMAP pending approval so that should take some time. PETS does not change the basic rules of vouchering, just how it's vouchered. Also, its way beyond the trial phase. Its in Manhattan (Except Central Park pct and it will be when they move into the new pct) Staten Island, and most of the bronx. It is moving into Queens and then brooklyn.

Yeah but don't forget we are responsible for operations orders and finest messages as well. The chief at the Key Class said he is pretty sure we are gonna be responsible for PETS.

well if thats what you remember..........I have no basis to argue with you, I have no access to any exams...........but as far as I know, pilot programs, non-citywide, short-term procedures and borough specific procedures are generally not asked.  is it possible that the panel ask a question on something like that, not impossible but VERY unlikely.  I wouldnt worry about things that are highly unlikely............worry about stuff you are sure have a good chance of being on the exam.

The C summons for 511 2nd or 3rd degree is not some boro specific order, its explicitly listed in the PG in the 208 section that Bklyn and SI commands do it for misd 511's while the other boroughs do not. So thats fair game.

Is it also unfair about Brooklyn and Queens Child Abuse Squad rules when they don't exist in other boros? Well actually there is a Manhattan CAS from what I hear, but the PG hasn't updated it yet.

Basically if its in the book, its fair game. But the book is one hot mess of contradictions...

I know it's not a Boro specific order, it's a procedure that everyone is responsible to know but only a few actually have to do. I was using that as an example, if a Pets interim order comes out, before the cut off date. it's fair game on the test.

The finest message about the glove pouch isn't in the book, they just renew it every year, and that's testable. PETS wouldnt just be an Interim Order it completely shatters 218, including doing away with the property index which is in almost every section of 218. I'm just saying it might be a good idea to wait for the august updates to study property. How often does the job give a LTs test, if they don't get it in on this one, it will be another 30 years before they can introduce it on the next test. It's spreading like wildfire as well, I think they are doing queens north this month.

I do know OMAP is working on the procedures for PETS but I doubt it will be in before the cut-off. PETS hasn't even touched Brooklyn yet. And given the speed of the job in writing and approving PG changes, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
