Probably correct...basically everyone expects early summer/late spring.
Think about it though, even if you are on the list and you are past number 100 or so, you won't see your promotion for, possibly, years.
So if waiting for the list drives people crazy, what's going to happen when they are number 400 and won't even be close to promotion for another 2 years?
I hope you are correct. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired of waiting. Thanks for the info. Some info is better than nothing at all. At least I can dream.
As one of the 69's chiming in.........God I hope May is the date just so I can have a final answer but I doubt it at this point. Seems like 50 promotions every 2 months of so. If the total freeze stays on, no chance. With 200 or so still left to promote from the current list, it could carry until the summer plus..........We just went from a hire of 1500+ in June to trying to cut 1500 guys by December by retirement/defections.
178 left on the list with 27 passovers! 150 eligibles....1 resignation---149 eligible (pretty sure at least a few more passovers from the 149 eligible)...ABOUT 140 LEFT!!!!

So if your calculations are correct... and they keep promoting at the same rate... that would mean 3 more bmoc classes (avg 50) to be given every other month = Sept. for the '09 test to become active...do i see a light at the end of this tunnel???
Ok this is the deal.. Im out sick. I got a text from a friend at work saying that one of te Sgts found out Im on a "Sgt retentive list" (thats how it was in the text) and that I should go to the employment section to pick it up. Anyone kno what that means? Anyone else hear anything?
I dunno what that means but i just got a call saying that the 09 list is coming out today. I asked repeatedly are you ****ing with me? He says no. So we will see.
