If so, how do you think they compared in terms of difficulty and why?
The level of difficulty on the 2009 Sgt exam was high to the stream. On this test they used trickery, meaning they gave you a procedure, made you think it was easier to come-up with the answer. But if you were not careful, they really meant something else. Meaning they made it look like it was a walk in the park, but it really wasn't. As opposed to the 2008 test, which was written whether, you did, or didn't know the material.

09 was a trickier test, and i would say it was harder, cuz this year they pinpointed more on the important subjects such as ccrb, iab etc....this test was also trickier , cuz most of the questions said ( what is most correct? ) , last year it said what should the actor do or not do?? last year i changed 10 of my answers and went from a 76 to a 68, cuz i was done quickly and thought the 09 test was too easy so i thought i must have missed something and stupidly picked the 2nd choice...i think the results will show , that when the list comes out, and with less on the list , we will see 09 was more difficult...
To me, the 09 test was no more difficult than the 08 test. (I bombed the 08 test). I will say that, while both tests were difficult, both tests were fair. They didn't ask you questions like the size of lettering on a bicycle or the color of something. They were questions that I believed that supervisors should know. People that thought the test was easy are either smart, study their asses off, or are lying and trying to demoralize and diminish the accomplishments of those that passed. The tests were tough and are not dumbed down. However, the most anyone can hope for from DCAS are fair questions, which these tests were.
haH!!! the bicycle letter question from the 03 test!! Does the guy who puts the stickers on the bikes even need to know that? That was the worst question ever. I would have been a Sgt for about 5 years by now if not for that sillyness. I was on that list and it died about 100 names before mine. No hard feelings though to the turd face who wrote that question.
seems like no one will forget that question with the bike lettering....lol...or the other one where a tree fell on the precinct i think was from like '06....thank god they started getting away from that kinda nonsense..
they didnt really get away from the nonsense totally. the 07 test had the question who operates the heating plant?? wtf. i was goin to pick the custodian but that wasnt a choice

Of course the 09 test was easier. Everyone passed it. The dumbest guys in my Pct are walking around like " i got an 89 and only studied an hour a day". If you only read the mission statement in the Patrol Guide you could have passed the 09 test.

Yeah, and those same "dumb guys" are the exact idiots who tell war stories that arent their own. Truth is those guys r in every command and its foolish to believe a word the say, whether its reguarding test scores or collars. there's just no way someone could pass either test and only studied an hour a day.
