I never saw the list, does anyone know how many people who hit five in jan 09 are below 200 on the list. Im in the 190's and im not sure if I'll make the july class with all the passovers,. unless there are enough jan 09 guys below me on the list who will get passed over

im just past 100 and there are 40 still yet to be promoted before me, most of which are waiting for july, if ur 190 id prob say sept for you, but u never know they may put in a big class, they have before, but if its 50 60 like as of late you prob will be a class after the next

I figured since between bmoc 1 and 2 they went up to 217, and if i'm not mistaken about 125 promoted, there are approximately 92 passovers. So if I deduct a few up until my list number, lets say there are 80 passovers before me, give or take and lets say about 10 ahead of me from jan 09, there's a chance i'll make it if it's a big class like bmoc 1. That's wishful thinking of course, thats why I ask if anyone knows how many 09 guys are in that range.

MN50 you realize they had 65 in the latest class(3rd) up to 320's in that class.

Im curious too. Im in the 180's and since there are about 20 people who are waiting until January 2009 with 141 names left....i figure subtract the 20 from 141 and divide the rest which leaves about 2 classes of 60.....so my guess is that im s*** out of luck until september. This is the most logical way to look at it i guess

I realize that jumpship, but had you seen that I wrote im in the 190's, the last class has no bearing on me, since it looks like they promoted between #217 and 329. Dont lose hope Bklyn, I forgot who it was that told me but last july they had a pretty big class for all those who hit five on the last list.

Hey Guys/ Gals

I know you're all anxious to get to BLC. I have no inside info, just my 2cents. I would bet my first sgt's check that there will be a July Class. Last July they put in about 73 people, then they skipped August and put in another class in September. Who knows July class might be even bigger this year. So good luck and hopefully you will get the call. My guess would be June 30th class, with the finest coming down on the wed/thurs before then.

MN50 and Pig also dont forget there are some who have already been promoted off the last list. Im just past 100 and there were 6 names who were skipped because they were promoted off the previous list and took this test in case of anything. Theres been 3 classes with this list. Check off the names up to your list # and see whos left. Of whos left enter their names in the telephone directory if you have access to the nypd intranet. Id bet by 200 theres 12 who are already sgts and of course were skipped. Also a hint those with scores ending in .7000 are the ones waiting for jan 09. They only recieved .7000 in longevity points. Cross them off too and theres the exact # b4 u and go from there.

well your info is obvioulsy wrong if u r stating after these two classes the list is done.it would be an impossibility considering ppl are still waiting to hit five years in Jan. wow the great cat is human after all. LOL (just busting your ballz a lil.. but your info is wrong though)

jaggedj , I am sorry to say but i believe Cat in what he has stated. He has been right with many other posts about dates, classes. He has nothing to prove. I am not sure who he is or where he works, but his info has been 100% on par. If he says that there is only a class in July and September for this list, then that is what
it is. The reason for that , is possibly there are less than 40 people who are waiting for Jan 09. I am guessing the first class of the new list from 2008 exam will have the Jan 09ers. This would make sense.

I think Cat has solid info.. A class in July and Sept..... The class in Jan 09 is automatic because they hit 5yrs... If you pass you are going to be promoted

hey I'm not saying cat is wrong wit the July n sept. class. I'm sure thats happening. however he said that would be the end of the list. so in other words he is saying the jan ppl r not getting made. now thats false n that is what I'm talking bout. not the other two classes. and if u throw the jan ppl in the class with the next list then technically the first list isn't done after those two classes. therefore the info is wrong. its not a big deal, I'm just saying.

ALL I AM SPEAKING ON IS JULY AND SEPTEMBER BECAUSE IT WAS STATED TO ME THOSE MONTHS A CLASS WOULD BE GOING IN; SO YOU CAN GUESS THE REST IT'S NOT WRITTEN IN STONE THAT THEY MUST PROMOTE IN JANUARY FROM THIS LIST. LISTS GET CUT ALL THE TIME I'VE SEEN IT DONE I HAVE 15 YEARS ON SO I HAVE SEEN IT DONE. HOPEFULLY IT WONT BUT YOU KNOW THIS JOB! I PASSED THE EXAM IN JANUARY 08 SO I AM ALSO WAITING FOR NEXT YEAR TO GET HERE.

Hey Cat and anyone else who cares to help. i am in the 330,s and hit 5 in 08. do you think there will be a mid dec class or early jan and if so how do my chances look.

hey cat I dont want to beat a dead horse but let's just say for arguments sake... there are 10 ppl who scored in the high 80's that r waiting to hit 5 yrs in jan. now the next two classes will have cops in it who have scored in the mid 70's. now r u trying to tell me that those guys waiting for 5 yrs who scored higher then ppl going into bmoc now will not get made? I dont think so

I heard today from an instructor from the academy that there will be 70 to 75 going in next bmoc class. Im not 100% but just passing on info.

July and September classes. 2008 Sgt. test list comes out in December, first class in January with left over people who get five years and jam ups from 2007 test. Put your money on that.

Where's bklyninsider, that guy was supposed to have some info this morning. If the class class is 70-75, there's a good chance i'll make it, waiting three weeks to find out sucks though.
