Thank God I passed!!!

Once again it is proven that the only way you can support a family on this job is to get promoted. What a disgrace!!! In no way do I blame the PBA for this. The only other option besides Perb was to take the 3 and 3.15 with give backs that the city offered us at the table. I wish this Department was tighter so that we could get on the same page and make a LOUD statement about our displeasure with this contract with a citywide slowdown but it could never happen. How great would it be to go citywide answering 1 job at a time and coming in with 0's everyday. I love when its done for 1 day on 4x12 when we need to get a point across to a boss, but citywide for days at a time would be sick. Just wishful thinking on my part. This sucks

I hear ya nassau. the only way to get a decent raise is to give yourself one by passing the sgts test. as for a slow down..... it would NEVA happen bc of all the 2 yr wonders giving out tickets to anyone with a pulse.if it wasn't for them and lil b*tch cops that dont want to lose their details, we mightve been able to pull that off!!

I love the fact that every cop, myself included, bashed the SGTs for taking the rdo/vacation range date as a giveback... and now we have the same thing.

Passing the SGT exam makes me that much more happier now. I just hope i wont get cut off with my low score. :P

The SGT's accepted their contract from the city with the RDO range.  We had no choice because with perb you only need two sides to approve.  In our case the city and the neutral arbitrator approved the contract, the PBA did not approve the contract.

Sgts go to the range RDO. Cops must submit a 28 for a vacation day. Big difference. So instead of 27 vac days a year, you now have 26. AMAZING

good point ramrod all these people forget this is BINDING ARBITRATION what they say goes, so to say the pba sold out is wrong, if you want to say they were wrong for spending $$$$ to go to perb thats fine.
