I dont have any legit source but all this drama with the upper administration hasnt stopped Compstat and its not stopping the class about to come out of 500ish rookies. Cant send them out without supervisors so I would bet there are still going to be some promotions. Im only saying that based on a little bit of common sense that we all know doesnt usually happen in this dept.

CAD has cleared about 1,200 for next class in October , so they are increasing numbers to
make up for the expected retirements. If they clear 1,200 , assuming academy is expecting about 1,000
January/July 2004-2008 were classes of 1200-1500. Expect bigger classes and figure they will need more supervisors.

I would just sit back and wait until next week between mon or Tuesday. Although there are changes in regime there are mass retirements happening from now until the foreseeable future. These list were not made big by accident. Just be patient and be positive. Theres so much BS happening right now especially in our world so lets be positive and keep these threads positive. Been lurking this page since the list posted. Im very close to promotion, checking this page daily isnt good for my anxiety. Heard all the rumors. Trying to remain positive. 116 is expected to open up next month and an academy class is also expected to graduate next month. I take this news as positive the the list will continue as planned and maybe the budget will allow for some bigger class sizes.

If they dont promote this week, then i bet a huge class of 125 goes in next month. If they dont promote its just because they dont have their shit together.

They might still add sgt this month. Keycapt said as of now. Meaning it is subject to change. And if promo is happening on a Monday I would say anything can happen. They might still be deciding a number and might come down tmrw or Wednesday. Since keycapt didnt post anything on instagram yet I think we still got hope this aint the final numbers.

No it will not change sgt/lt/capt as those are civil service ranks. However, a new Mayor/PC might affect Inspector and Chief promotions as those are all hand picked.
