Over 12000 cops took the exam. 4300 is about 1/3 of the list. Congrats to all that passed.

5,500 total sgts on the job now... Are they gonna have to all retire to get through this list?? Lol... Good luck to everyone, hopefully you all make it. I'll take an experienced list #4500 boss over a 5 year wonder anyday

I dont think youre accounting for the amount of people heading for the door.
The # will be astronomical , just watch as people with time on in spots where
overtime is in the 50-60 hour range is cut to 20-30 hours. They are heading to pension section.
Ive spoken to a few guys who are in their 20+ years and theyve cut their OT . Ive asked so are you
staying ? The overwhelming response was No.

Same; seeing so many people that Ive worked with over the years pack up their toys and leave recently. The overtime they did from transit made their 20 year pensions closer to those of a 25 year pension. Theyre not going to see those OT hours again anytime soon, so they are essentially being forced out. Besides the million other reasons to leave this department, significantly cutting OT was a surefire way to cause yet another mass exodus. Its okay though- our most experienced guys are going to get replaced with the most brilliant and mature city residents the job is apparently green-lighting their plan to lower the minimum hiring age to 20 year old, and to drop the 60 college credit/2.0 GPA requirement (which is a damn joke to begin with).
And just like that the list is out.
Is this the Sgt list or a list of every cop that took the exam?
