Rumor I heard is the job is expecting a list of 3-4000. After the Military and COVIDIANs take it. They're trying to garner a sense of hope and internal pride. Likely only the first 1200 will ever see the promotional arena, but it buys the City three more years without having to pay us a livable wage or seriously reconsider how they treat their employees.

Exam will be scaled-up! There will be many questions that will be double answers and a few thrown out causing for another big list.

Again, thats not a curve. Out of the 11 questions that were thrown out you got 10 of those points Because you got 10 of them wrong.

3k to 4k? Unlikely. Why would they only promote the first 1200? 2011 exam had 1700 and all got made. Lets not even start with the 2017 exam. Even without the additional year everyone was going to make it. They havent finished a list since the 90s. If you make it to the list, chances are youll get promoted.

I wouldnt call that a bonus year. The dept stopped promos during Covid and riots for approx 10 months give or take.
