Almost three months from the last day of the final brief, any words? Does it normally take that long to come out with an award?

The rumor was City and PBA have a tentative deal in place to get us up to date but I dont think we will get a contract until after Summer is over alot of people will grab their retro and leave.

If they cared the slightest about retention they would have given a brain-dead easy test. A strategy that rewards the true study-"ers" and provides enough false hope to everyone else to keep them going. Now all they have done is further demoralized an already depressed workforce. I have to ask, why the fuck would you do this job? The only valid reason at this point is that you have a family to feed, and as far as I'm concerned a man's family will always take precedence. Maybe Adams will give us a big contract but in the end does that make up for the abhorrent working conditions, and the truly abusive relationship our "job" has with us? A god clad in green glimmers in a coating of forgotten dreams.

Im afraid retention concerns are probably why they gave a very hard exam. Too many bosses not enough cops. Their thought process was probably small list rather then large that ay they wouldnt have to kill a list. Only thing is I feel it backfired with the amount of people who took exam day 2 with knowledge of questions.

perb can take as long as they want to come up with their 2 year contract. after they provide a decision, the city has 90 days to pays us.
this is the longest its been for awhile. last perb decision i believe took about 45 days from the last day of arbitration. now i believe were somewhere in the vicinity of 70 days since their last day of arbitration.
who knows why, lots of rumors floating around. time will tell everything, better strap in for the long haul.

But thats the problem. I do think I possibly passed anyway, but the problem is they make these stupid little plans, like with strings and trying to control the whole situation, and then end up doing something ridiculously stupid. They give practically the same exact test day 2. So if 500 people passed day 1, and 1000 people passed day 2, that alone should be grounds for a retake exam.
my point: they wanted to play games and retain more cops by giving a ridiculously difficult exam, and then give another exam a few years from now when they have more cops, but it backfired and now they have a giant list again. The people making these decisions have no brain and i dont care what i got on the exam. The things they do make zero sense.

I feel your pain as im in same boat, but there isnt much we can do. Neither DCAS or the city cares as we are all just a number. As long as someone with a heartbeat fills the vacancy all is good in their eyes. Doesnt matter if they cheated or even studied, just that they are still breathing when their list number is called. You cant change that, just have to worry about yourself and your family.
As far as perb is concerned, there is no time frame they have to adhere to in regards to making a decision. Most likely what is happening is the PBA and city have probably reached an agreement but are waiting until after September to avoid a massive retirement wave.

PBA negotiating a 5 year contract with the City. If they don't like the terms they'll accept Perb's findings.

Whats the newest rumor floating around now? I saw a chart with the same percentage raise as other unions got. And top
pay will be around 110k. Where the 130k top pay came from?

Starting pay for SBA will probably be close to what their top pay is now. starting pay for sgts is basically cop top pay plus 10k

Negative, detectives make 10k more than a cop. A sergeant makes 20k more.

You know they will, unborn meaning us. Top pay now 8 years in rank and no chart time accumulated until 7 years. I never got the concept of give backs. Why do we have to give Anything back to meet inflation? At what point are we going to have nothing to give back ?

cop top pay is 85,000, sergeant starting is 96,000. sergeant top is 118,000. none of those numbers is a 20k difference.

Virtual numbers have gained significant popularity in today's world. They are sought after by many individuals who wish to receive SMS messages, rent phone numbers for SMS purposes, and register privately on various websites, services, and applications. Platforms like https://onlinesim.io/ offer virtual numbers to fulfill these needs. Additionally, virtual numbers provide protection against fraudsters and enable the verification of message delivery sent from another phone. Embracing virtual numbers not only enhances privacy but also enhances security in the digital realm.
