Please see our statement, attached. We have begun efforts to call for the Department and DCAS to be more transparent with how exams are administered. Low pass-rates, changing test dates, no clear direction with regard to exam content...it's unacceptable.
Starting in 2022, The Key and Rising Star founded the Patrol Guide Roundtable, where they discuss changes to NYPD testing, new procedures, and other NYPD promotion news and policies. Members of the Roundtable include:
Kevin Ward, NYPD Chief of Staff (Ret.).
John Monaghan, NYPD Commanding Officer of M.O.D.S. (Ret.)
Paul McCormack, NYPD Deputy Inspector (Ret.)
Frank Vega, NYPD Staten Island Borough Commander (Ret).
George Mifsud, NYPD Captain, and former DCAS-NYPD exam writer and test reviewer (Ret).
Ralph Cilento, NYPD Commanding Officer of Detective Bureau Training Unit, current John Jay College of Criminal Justice professor (Ret).
Edward Carrasco, NYPD Deputy Inspector (Ret.), former C.O. of OMAP (Special Projects), and former instructor with Exam-X and “The Fast Track” (a now defunct test-prep school).
Anthony Raganella, NYPD Deputy Inspector, whose lawsuits against DCAS have led to 4 exam rule changes (Ret)

This is false!! They are giving a test this year for sure. In fact, if they could give it sooner they would, but August is the earliest they could administer it.
