If that's the case, hopefully it will still be the same 3 week BMOC and a huge class.

who got this so called intel and how did they get this so called intel? if its from the chain text that was sent around that was most likely typed up by an all mighty ****y FIO, then its bullcrap. Beginning/mid Sept is my best guess in my opinion.

All Viper cops to be transferred to Central bookings / Administrative positions. Viper will be staffed by paid community members from local housing projects / violence interrupter groups.
Patrol- due to the increase in former anti-crime sgts and SOL returning to patrol promotions to Sgt and LT will be paused.
Executives- rumors of large amounts of retirements at high ranks are true. 1PP is having difficulty finding executives willing to take over boro commands when PBMN and PBMS CO's retire.
Anti-Crime / FIO- anti-crime officers from busy commands will be moved to FIO teams. Exceptional anti-crime officers will be moved to PDU. FIO and PDU are the only two units that will be increasing headcount. Anti-Crime teams from slow commands (PBMS, PBSI, etc) or anti-crime officers without significant felony arrests will go back to patrol.
PDU and FIO sgts from violent commands who are still making shooting arrests / firearms arrests will be getting SDS or SSA pay over the next few months as they are the only units still doing enforcement and getting more detectives. There are a large amount of LSA/SDS retirements in the pipeline, as all these retirements happen the slots will be given to FIO/PDU. FIO teams from slow commands without shootings or gun arrests will be disbanded. Slots will be found in Intel for most sgts permanently assigned, but some sgts and most assistants at slow commands will go back to patrol.
Narco/Gang/Firearms- case buys only with apprehensions to be made by Warrants. No more buy & bust or buys for warrants. No more no-knock warrants. Warrant training for Narco/Gang etc is cancelled. ESU will handle all warrants.
NCO- NCO will be expanded and will be expected to write c-summons / OATH summons to correct conditions in their sectors. NCO will also spend at least one tour a week meeting with violence interruptor groups.
Violence Interruptor- city will be increasing funding to community groups composed of former felons.

The VIPER comment is true. VIPER is DOA within the next 2 weeks or so, the modified cops there will be dispersed amongst Central Bookings across each boro and when/if Central Booking is fully staffed, the remaining jam ups will be sent to commands to do TS and 124 room/clerical duties so that full duty cops assigned to precincts can be put out on patrol. That one is definitely true.
Soccer you seem confident on your post. Where is the info coming from and what will be done w viper?

My information is coming from someone I know whos in VIPER now who was told the unit is DOA soon and to pick a preference on which boro central booking he wants but to be ready to wind up anywhere.

My understanding is Viper is nit going away. Viper rooms are going away. Instead of the unarmed cops being in some dinghy distant room away from the PSA, theyre are going to be doing the same job in the PSA. Viper existed bc we did not have access to the cameras. Now that we can view the cameras in DAS from the PSA they are going to move the cops there. I might be wrong. Thats what I heard.

You are correct !! The viper cops are being consolidated into a small batch of cops per PSA and are being supervised by the desk officer from that respective PSA. All supervisors are being sent to their respective commands and most cops are either being sent back to their commands, or to another administrative unit (ie: CJB, Auto-Pound etc.) This was in the works before the protests so it's not a result of "defunding the police" movement.
As for the rumor of Housing being disbanded, that's 100% FALSE !! Just like transit, most of Housing's funds comes from federal money, it isn't going anywhere any time soon, especially with the spike in shootings and violent offenses in Housing.

You are correct !! The viper cops are being consolidated into very few cops and are being supervised by the desk officer from that PSA, most are being sent back to their commands or to do other administrative work in other units. This was in the plan before the protests so it's not a result of "defunding the police".
