Fake news. I got promoted off the 2011 Sgt list. That list had 1600 plus and they made the whole list in less than 3.5 years.

Hello future sgts. I will be deleting my account soon since my journey to captain will be almost complete. I wanted to share some knowledge w you all. I can tell you NO ONE knows what list number will be reached. There is no number they must/want/ need to get up to. When the vacancies are there, they will promote. The average over about a 15 year period is a little less than 500 per year. Your list is behind that right now. The 8 week bmoc is to get back on track schedule wise for promo and is for only this class. There will be a three week mentoring for all ranks going forward. The overall consensus of ppl who deal with promos (leadership/personnel) is this list will expire at some point with ppl remaining on it. Doesnt mean they are right or wrong, they just express alil more of detailed opinion based on current and future promotion rates. Again NOONE knows if the whole list will be made. Ppl want to know, thats human nature so you can plan. I just give you the truth and its up to you if you want to believe others and their predictions. I wish you all the best, I know most of you studied hard and its grueling to know that hard work can be wasted.

You have to be full-duty unless you're restricted (for pregnancy reasons).

You must be full duty.
So you go full duty one day for promotion then you can go back limited.
