You wont be Carbed if its that old. They do ask about the incident and to see if youve learned from it.

Are you in line for the next BMOC class? when were u notified about CARB? I also have a similar story, charges around the same time as you, no CDs, CCRBs etc since then. I would be in line for next class

They are going to ask you anything and everything that pertains to your incident that resulted in charges and how you have learned from the experience and won't be repeating the mistake.

Typically how does the Carb process work? When would you get notified if your list number was to come up, before or after the scheduled BMOC date? Do all charges/modifications/suspensions etc get carbed or only some?

The job put out an order prob 4-6 months ago about who has to go in front of the CARB board. The purpose statement even says something about clearing up the confusion. It lists a bunch of things that qualify you for CARB, and then in typical NYPD fashion, the last bullet is the catch all, anything else deemed appropriate. Lolol what a joke

If you get skipped due to awaiting charges, can u get called to carb right away after charges are signed off? Or do u have to wait 4years until list is up?

You won't have to wait for years but would be looking at about 6 months. After you sign off on charges and advocate does as well they have to make it up 1st dep or pc.

You may not be getting carbed due to the time frame. When I was carbed for my promotion to Sgt they reached out to me a few months before to tell me I was going to be carbed.

CARB is for people with substantiated charges within the last four years. Every now and then people will slip through the cracks. You have to go based on the sign-off date. You will be fine. Good luck!

If you were placed on disciplinary probation it doesnt matter how long ago the incident happened you will be carbed. If you werent placed on disciplinary probation and you were only placed on monitoring in the last 5 years you will be carbed. Any type of monitoring thats over 5 years old you then wont be carbed.
