before throwouts it was only at least a little over 1500 what was the reason for the bu curve it had to be a reason people were already content they failed after the protest now this big surprise it has to be a reason why they did this

Because people probably protested every question. After that LT exam and the lawsuit its something DCAS doesnt want to deal with again.

true but to make a list that big lets face it the test was kind of fair make a list that big and half from people assumption wont even get promotoed

Thats the point. Avoid a lawsuit and just have people die off the list. Dcas comes out with their hands clean.

Now the testing is about who studied more and who effectively took this test to score enough to get promoted, not about studying enough to just make the list. Modern promotional exams.

The big lists of sgt lt and capt exams are all due to the 2015 lt exam.
That test had rampant cheating and a lawsuit attached to it. It also changed it where future exams are no longer given on weekends.
Expect fair exams and big lists from now on.

I absolutely agree. The test was fair. But the things people were protesting were ridiculous. Truly desperate. Unfortunately this is how future exams will be.

hit it on the dot. Get all needed in and let the rest die on the list. Dont matter the size of the list. They will take as much as they need and start over with next exam. By doing it this way. No issues with anyone.

So is it safe to say with a # 15** list number you will get promoted ??

No one knows but 500 yearly for 4 years should be safe. But it depends on what happens few years from now. They might have another surge for Sgts and get rest in. We just have to wait and see.

A certain high level Executive on this job has a son who took the exam and failed. To get him on the list, they had to curve the exam. Exam is curved, and he is now on the list. He is still very low on the list, but nonetheless, he is on the list now.

I would say 1600 to 2000 is a safe bet.

Absolute bs. This rumor spreads on every single promotional exam ever given.

That's the way I see it. If they promote everyone, awesome. If they don't. It is what it is. That being said, nobody really knows for sure and anything is possible. I've been saying for a while that this list was around 2600 and people kept acting like I was crazy and trolling. Some flat out said it was impossible. But it happened. So as far as how may get promoted, well, only time will tell my friends.
