I honestly think its crazy how DCAS waits to do everything last minute. God forbid theres some sort of mistake or issue with the notice, now everything has to get taken care of within a few days.

It's completely archaic for them to send the locations out regular mail not even priority mail with a tracking number or just email us the location. I hate DCAS they are so antiquated

Haha you are naive if you think that. Did you not see what they did for the 2013 Sgts exam ?
I'm preparing for 20-30 extra questions and hoping for the best.

Are you an idiot? There are no more research questions! And how exactly are you gonna prepare for them now? At this point you should already be prepared! Stop with this fvcking crap.

Read the admission notice carefully !!!
Test length: 6 hours
Time: answering all test questions "including those that are for research purposes only".
Which means they can throw some research questions in there. If you are naive enough to think DCAS and/or the NYPD isn't capable of throwing in some research questions, then you my friend are the idiot.

I took the 2013 test so yes I know. It's still possible it won't happen. I'm just being optimistic

Of course man, we both went through it on the 2013 exam so we have 1st hand knowledge on how they can screw us. Keep that positive mindset and hope for the best.

ugh i wouldnt care so much if 1) they actually gave extra time for the extra questions...and 2) they are actually randomly dispersed...that could have been the topic of a lawsuit...the last 38 or so questions of the 13 sgt exam all counted...none were research, which was obviously done on purpose...the odds of that occuring randomly are astronomical, it could not happen.

Also, I think when we leave the exam they should give us a receipt stating which questions were research. This way there is no way that they can pick and choose which ones don't count in order to get a larger or smaller final list.

Times like this I'm extremely glad I decided to go with rising star...I feel like I'm prepared for anything those clowns at DCAS throw at me. Thanks Ed & Tony!
