If your on a LT list and get passed over bc you don't have enough time in rank can you still take a captains test if not yet promoted? And what if you are passed over and the list is killed?

When is the current list going to come to an end?

Quite simply, you need to have at least one day in the rank of LT on the day you take the captain exam. Hope that helps. Cant pass a Captain test as a SGT and get promoted.

if you get passed over because you didn't meet the requirements you have till the end of the list to meet them if not sorry better look next time. if you are passed over because of disciplinary reasons you have to go in front of the board to get the blessing. if they don't give you the blessing and the list is killed you will be taking another Lt Exam.

Lts get promoted up front which is a good thing if you are trying to take the Captain exam
