With over a 100 names on capt list and the new process for executive promotions, I don't envision a capt test for at least 2 years. This Lt list should last 12-18 months, so yes everyone should be promoted in time.

I agree with DETSGT, I don't expect a captain exam until 2018, late 2017 at the earliest.

Yanosik told me he expects an exam for 2017. For what it's worth

He told me 2015 Lt exam would be straight forward as well.

DETSGT he told you it will be straight forward....hmmmm.
Well like George Bush said
"There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."
- anyone that believes that has not learned their lesson apparently. The days of of 2003 and 2006 type LT exams are over! The jobs realizes everyone wants to get promoted and move up the ranks. The job is getting younger and younger. Tier 3 guys have to take a promotion if they want a better pension. The jobs sees all of this. 2015 LT exam was not a mistake and was a carefully drafted exam. I'm expecting a slowdown with LTs and Captains. Lieutenants aren't retiring and there is an overage for captains. Its been 4 months since there has been promotions for either rank

I don't want to study again right now anyway, that was really awful. I'm still recovering psychologically from the 2015 Lieutenant Exam, I can't study for captain yet.
