I personally used the ksa guide and the key. Ksa was a fraction of the cost and prepared me just as well.
I used the key but I took elite crams and in baskets as well. Most importantly I did questions from everywhere.

I took the key and read out of the patrol guide... Majority of my studying was right out the patrol guide
Did the Key, Elite, Academy questions and also the Key app. Also read the Patrol Guide.

Plus all questions / inbaskets from key, elite, academy and key phone app.
Results: Would've been 1st class of it wasn't for the cheaters.
Slate, how well did u do then?

Agreed. PG more than once is def necessary for the LTs test. I thought the pg was useless for the sgts exam tho.
I tried to read the guide twice but ran out of time. The second time I made it to 208 and the 3 day swing before the test made sure I read 212 again.
For 09 sgt test i kept it simple stupid: i read Key packets and did questions. No patrol guide, no risingstar, no cram course, not even new interim orders nor extra in-basket work. Walked away with low 80s.
For 2015 i dif Elite PG, packets, online and packets questions, risingstar, key app and academy questions. Elite trimester exams scored high. Test results-low 60s. Go figure.
The only book I studied was the Torah. My list is in the top 10.

Actually I quoted the wrong post. Sorry
You cannot use the 2015 Lt test as a barometer. If it was a normal test you would have done well. Good luck in 2017.
