Yano seems to think late 2016

The last couple of them have been in the Fall so maybe about a year from now. That's just by going by recent history, but the city will do whatever the F it wants. The 2013 exam was originally scheduled for April and then pushed back to October.

I would speculate about this time next year as well. Late October, early November. They do about 400 promotions a year. By next November that would have them approaching the halfway mark on the 13 exam. Figure 6 more months to make the list and they would be about 3/4 of the way through the 13 list.

You also have to consider that approximately 40 or 50 names on the 2013 list are duplicates from the 2011 list. This list is actually shorter than you think. Depending where you are on the list you probably will also have a couple dozen Passovers ahead of you that you will get promoted before depending on their circumstances.
