As of February 2015 a 4th step Sgt makes a base salary of 84,628. As of February 2015 a 3rd grade detective makes 86,447 the day he gets his/her shield (provided that PO is at top pay). So if you are a detective who was at top pay as a police officer when you got your shield...YES you go to top pay Sergeant.

Anyone's bi weekly pay not matching the biweekly pay chart on the SBA website also the BI weekly longevity????

Yes. I called the SBA last payperiod. Its due to there being a leapyear in 2016. They told me our salaries are based on the city fiscal year and thats why the leap year effects now.
