i have heard from acouple of mutual friends who know this captain vujanof or however you spell it, it has been told to me that he has stated that the nypd told dcas they want a smaller list. DCAS relayed this info to the ppl writing the test hence the harder test. Why may this be of importance? well if true then we may not see a large list. I obv can not confirm any of this being true but just something else to throw in the pot of one of the hardest exams.

List is gonna be around 800-900, not concrete, just a rumor I heard from the lady who cleans the table at chucky cheese in Hempstead.

completely missing the point....yes correct he doesnt know anything about the size of list. But it offers interesting insight into the perspective of the job. If any of this info holds true, then although the captain is still a huge douche, it may tell us why he was picked and just why the test was written in the way it was. Also, it could hold true that the protest session may be very tight in giving throwouts. For instance, there were questions protested that could be dismissed on technicalities such as no indicating that a person was not identified before issuing a summons. We all know what the question was asking, but if you dont put this info in is the question technically not complete? well depends on how liberal you want to be with these protests. Just how i see it and i find it interesting to hear it.

On the 2011 Sgt. Exam forum,, the rumor is that 100 sgt's going in on Aug 3 into Bmoc???,,,, i believe it when i see it.. however,,if that rumor is in fact true,, it should mean there are going to have to promote more LT's in order to supervise those Sgt's ! .. we know there are appx 50 "active" on the current Lt's list with appx 12 "passovers,, if that rumor about the 100 sgt's is true ,, it might mean the 2015 list will be established sooner than what we are assuming!

If everyone heard the news head count in PD is going up. They are going to need 1 sgt for every 8 cops, and 1 Lt for every 3 Sgts so this is why things are going to be moving from what I understand. They will need this Lt list to be long enough for 2 years minimum. I'd guess over 360 names on list.

My math gives 1,000 cops = 125 Sgt's = 42 Lt's, last Lt class was 43 right on the nose with my math.

The NYPD and DCAS rarely collaborate like that. I would be by surprised if thats what went down. Interesting theory though, but I doubt it
