lets not forget we have about 5000 sgts if half took the test an only 89 answer keys are in you are basing your answers on 5 % There will be more people failing then passing wait and see the real answer key

Approx 2630 people signed up to take the test. You figure 2300 plus actually sat and took it.

We all agree the test was a nightmare. But this is worse! Sitting at home waiting to know if all the sacrifices we made and hard work payed off. Sitting here comparing answers to questions that we don't even know will be used to calculate are score. The only thing worse then this is the sabbath scammer who claims they can't take the test because of religion observation. I believe the job should only accommodate those who signed up and were activated to serve. I respect are men and women who serve in the armed forces. But we all have heard of and some of us have seen firsthand how certian people who claim the sabbath can't take the test and are always on top of the list due to cheating. This is the Police department. If you can't sit with your fellow co-workers for one day out of the year to take a test then maybe it's time to choose a new career. Trust me god or what ever your worship will understand.

or maybe they should stop giving the tests on a Saturday. I can see how that would easily solve the sabbath issue.

I would totally take the exam on any given sunday. I would excuse myself from my routine sunday worship to accommodate those who can not take the exam on saturday so that we all can take on the same day.

It's weird that they don't just have the test on Sunday for everyone.

No burgsgt, of course not. But the people that submitted keys to gamblor is supposed to be a representative sampling of those 2300 people who took the exam. Mathematically it makes sense.
if there are 120 keys submitted and 110 people picked A for question 73, it is HIGHLY PROBABLE that the answer for 73 is A.
Some of you need a lesson in statistics...

I guess so but lets not forget chances are more people failed this then passed .. so the odds of more people piking the wrong answer is extremely high

That would only be true if scores were a majority of in the 30's and 40's. A decent amount of people knew their stuff And are most likely in 60's-70's range. Just by that, you can have a very accurate Key. If it was accurate for the 2011 exam it will be even more so for 2015

Here's the thing: Harvesting keys from Rising Star already skews the sample towards being accurate since the people who frequent this site tend to be the heavier studiers. 115 keys is a fairly decent representative sample of test takers, especially when you factor in that the people submitting are on the higher end of the curve. Yes, the key is not 100%, and you will find a handful that are wrong. The majority through should be accurate.

gamblor I agree, at this point tho, I feel like if you changed the answer key again it might be corrupted by the studiers that didn't study as much..... I propose a cutoff!

Thanks again for all your help,...please don't change key since it will only corrupt the formula,.

I have used Gamblor's keys on three exams. 2011 Lt was 3 points worse than "most likely" score, 2013 Capt was 1 point better than the "most likely" score, and 2014 Capt 1 point worse than "most likely".
My point being that two out of those three exams were absolute sh*tshow debacles and yet using statistics and numerous answer keys, Gamblor comprised answer keys that were very accurate.
I still have to thank him once again for the good work he has done on this. I suggest some of you on here do the same, since I would be willing to bet your score on his final answer key will be very close to your raw score on the proposed answer key when it comes out.
